Even though I can't comprehend why people wouldn't like inFAMOUS or even Ratchet & Clank, because they are truly just awesome fun, bubbles to you for an honest and level headed opinion.
I bought a 360 Elite today but already own a PS3.
If I didn't own either though and had to choose, it'd be the PS3, simply because from a gaming perspective, the amount of quality exclusive games along with the ability to play all the major 3rd party games, and play them online for free, in that respect the PS3 has no equal.
Downloading HD movies is not yet practical for the mass market. Blu-Ray will easily be the Hi-Def standard for the forseeable future but of course one day it'll be phased out and tbh I much prefer physical media over digital distribution, with the exception of music.
FTW

FF13 SE if there is one
I pre-ordered and imported this on MovieTyme and received it the Saturday after it released in the US so it was quite quick to arrive to me in the UK.
For any UK readers that want it here is the link - http://www.movietyme.com/ca...
Not sure if you can use MovieTyme for other parts of Europe but they were quite fast in getting my copy to the UK.
If there is...
I'm with you there, the game looks excellent and it's going to be amazing to play all the thousands upon thousands of tracks that people create.
The two things I'd most like is the ability to have cross game invites from the in game XMB and universal custom soundtracks. Cross game chat would be nice too but I'd hope these things would be firmware updates that can be used for free by everyone.
I'm like you though, looking forward to seeing what they offer.
In terms of these premium services and content.
If it's something I deem worth paying for then sure, if not then at least I can play online and do everything else I can now for free.
Either way I'm not bothered although I do hope they offer something good that is worth paying for.
it's a cool app but i'll stick to my sky hd box
Yeah but in Uncharted 2 it was well justified lol
They did say they may bring it to the PS3.
Sky also just launched an app that allows you to watch live Sky TV on the iPhone aswell. Sky will bring the Sky Player to any platform they think will give them exposure and revenue.
After all, the company is owned by Rupert Murdoch who is a major part of News Corp, one of the largest media conglomerate's in the world.
Sky Player will eventually make it's way to PSN imo but for current 360 owners and gold member...
If it appeals enough to me then no problem, I'll buy.
I don't hate IW but they are the developer and are responsible for the abomination that is IW.Net and the removal of dedicated server support and the various other acts of rape aimed at the PC version of the game.
If history is anything to go by then it should just be called a non contest right now.
You are however correct, time will tell but I be majorly surprised if GT5 lifetime sales don't eclipse that of Forza 3.
I don't own a 360 anymore so I'm limited to just GT5, which I'm certain will be an amazing game. From what I can gather, Forza 3 is also a pretty damn good game.
If they offer some cool stuff that you can pay for and want to, awesome, sign me up.
If they offer something you have to pay for that I have no interest in but I can still do what I can do now, for free. Awesome, at least there's an option for other stuff but the basic function of an online gaming community remains free and accessible to everyone with a PS3.
If it's at over 1m copies then it should be considered a success, the amount of games that don't sell 1m or more is quite large and it'll probably sell quite a few more copies over the holidays. Besides the game isn't even a month old on the market.
Day 1 purchase just like LBP was.
I love Ratchet and Clank games, ACiT is great and I hope there's a new game with a whole new storyline a few years from now, would like to see a new IP from Insomniac in the meantime tho just to keep things fresh.
When I was buying my 360 today there was a woman in line next to me asking for MW2 on PS2, the store stopped carrying PS2 consoles/games as it is a small store but it's amazing tht there's still a lot of interest in that machine.
