From some of the interviews since it's launch, Sony are pretty pleased with how LBP has sold.
Sure it was hyped but like you said it's a fairly casual game in a more hardcore market. It's also a pretty niche game that a lot of people whilst thinking it looks cool are unsure of. I've had a couple of friends give me this impression when they asked me about it. Of course I told em to buy it ASAP cuz it's just great fun. I mean making sackboy dance around in different costume combos ...
Here in the UK, the prices of BR movies and their DVD counterpart isn't all that different.
Cases in point are as follows.
Wanted BR £14.99 - http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu...
Wanted DVD £12.99 - http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD...
The Dark Knight BR ...
Internet Explorer is garbage, it's reasons like this I don't use it.
I forgot to mention that playing games like Ice Breaker wtc. unlock new items in home so if you're into that then there is a point to playing them.
I think a lot of people don't get the point of home.
Meet new people to play games with, that is the main point of Home and it is unquestionably a great way to meet new people to play with online.
The rest of the stuff is cool IF you like to play around with it, if not then thats cool because it isn't for everyone, but a lot of people will enjoy the content that is in there.
A lot of people also seem to ignore the fact that Home is an evolving service th...
How difficult is it to hold onto the damn controlloer?
I mean seriously, if KIDS can play tennis and not lose grip of a tennis racquet then surely people can play the Wii without letting go of the controller lol.
The guy had a couple of decent points but his criticism of crap like not offering netflix support was kinda dumb.
Besides, why would I want anything less than Blu-Ray quality on my BR player and HD TV?
Both good trailers but somethign about Versus got me much more excited than the other one. I guess it was just darker and a bit more intense in one way or another.
This sounds pretty cool but I'm interested to see what price tag goes on it. My 8GB iTouch is just about full with nothing I want to delete from it and there is no way I am paying Apple £280 for a 32GB iTouch.
Pretty sure he just did with the "I wouldn't mind playing it" comment.
Those are some decent numbers no matter how you look at it. With 2 quarters still to be posted for this fiscal year it's not unreasonable to think it'll be heading towards the 20m mark for sales.
Pretty sure you're taking what he said out of context and here's why.
Sony are more focused on creating their own unique IP's with their own 3rd party studios. That is their strategy and that is their goal, not to throw money at devs to buy their way into other companies' exclusive IP's.
And no, Sony doesn't bash the 360 all the time. This isn't the first time we've seen this tool Greenberg trashing on all things Playstation and Sony. Can't recall the last time I rea...
I doubt very much this game will be anything but a 360 exclusive, perhaps on PC also but as far as consoles go it'll be 360 only. I'd be surprised if I was able to buy it for my PS3.
This company just keep feeding me reasons for disliking them.
Ted Price should run workshops on humility and decency
Nevermind contender, I plan on buying both as long as Prototype lives up to it's early promise. Been interested in it for a long time and in infamous since it was announced and something fairly drastic would need to come to light for me not to buy both :D
Nice to see some info and some news on this game, I remember looking at it when it was first announced and was really interested in it.
It might be if there's a lot of network traffic at the same time.
I've already got v1.02 installed though so at worst I'll have to download a small update :D
You realise that what you took part in was a closed beta right? Not all of the features like the ability to launch games and invite peopel to the games you've created (which is one of the larger points of having Home) were active right? They were in there at one point but my guess is they learned something from the closed beta and went away to work on them and then tomorrow we might have those features back for more widespread testing.
Until something official comes out I'll reserve judgement but if the idea of this game being 1080p and at 60fps is true then all I can say is nvm Killzone 2 (even tho it's omgwtfbbqawesome) welcome one and all, to true next gen gaming.
Also I don't much like the idea of online co-op but online duels, fighting other people could be fun and wouldn't take anything away from the single player experience, at least it shouldn't.
That was a pretty epic response to the teacher lol
