Very interesting read, actually looking forward to reading part 2.
Depends on what Sky's VOD service is like.
Besides, this is sky TV we're talking about, the pioneers of making you subscribe to a sports channel for Premier League Football then making some of those games pay per view on top of that.
If they feel there is money to be made and wanted to workwith Sony and Sony wanted to work with them then they'd make it happen. As it stands right now the PS3 isn't compatible with their DRM platform but that stuff can be worked aro...
I work for British Telecom, one of the largest if not the largest telecommunications companies in the world and it recently announced that it is cutting 10k jobs by March '09 so yeah, like people have said in here already, the poor economy is hitting everyone.
Giving this guy a video game is like giving Uwe Boll creative freedom to ruin the rep of your video game with one of his movies.
I bought my PS3 before I had an HDTV but since getting my HDTV and seeing how amazing Blu-Ray is on it I haven't bought a single DVD either. I've even stopped downloading pirated DVD rips from torrent sites for new releases simply because I enjoy the Blu-Ray experience so much.
It's pretty damn obvious from the commentary in the ads that the people talking made them.
Perhaps you're just not that bright?
The humour in the one for The cullen Family Planet level is pretty good too.
I've seen an LBP ad every day for the last week when I have the TV on in the morning while eating breakfast and when eating dinner after I come home from work. Sometimes I see another one when watching some TV in the evening.
So yeah you're just missing them I guess.
The US does not = the world.
Comments like "Without including the month of November and December the PS3 managed to reduce the 5,000,000-6,000,000 million xbox 360 console lead in the US by 49,800 as of October" are both retarded and wholly inaccurate.
Nothing spectacular game-wise?
Hello, my name is MGS4.
I see a lot of advertising for the 360 here in the UK (mostly it's an ad for some 3rd party multiplat game followed by the price of their console) about downloading movies on the 360 but not once have I seen an ad for netflix support.
MS do so well because they are great at marketing and advertising their products.
I doubt the netflix feature contributed to very many consoles being shifted just as I doubt Home will contribute to a huge surge of PS3's shifting whe...
I'm waiting for the lame and dumb articles (blog posts most likely) that'll be all over this site on Monday about how Sony failed at the VGA's because footage of games rumoured to be shown, wasn't.
Couldn't care less about the actual awards tbh.
Changing discs takes easily less time than some of the installs for PS3 games but tbh I spend that time checking out the controls in the game manual and flicking through that real quick.
Personally, I don't mind the installs as I'm sure a lot of people don't mind switching discs but I'd prefer the installs simply because I couldn't be bothered to get up and change discs every now and again unless I'm going to play a different game.
That's just me though, changing dis...
Disc needs to be in for game to work though so you're still gonna have to get up and change discs.
With a healthy power supply it shouldn't be an issue because the power supply would only output the voltage needed by each component inside of the console.
Getting 2 faulty PSU's would be pretty unlucky and also unlikely given the reliability of the PS3.
I have all my electrical appliances (especially expensive ones like my PC/TV/PS3) plugged into a surge suppressor (as anyone with a brain should) for extra protection.
Keep in mind tho9ugh that there isn't a hell of a lot more to do than that in Home right now. When the full release is rolled out we'll be in there to meet people to launch rela games. I got bored of the beta very quickly because as it is right now there is barely anything to do.
Looking forward very much to more of the features becoming active and I think then I'll use it a lot.
At first I thought what a retarded article, then I remember it was Sarcastic Gamer and I laughed.
Did Too Human use the conventional way? I'd say yes it was so no I don't see your point at all.
KZ2 is pretty much the first of it's kind in terms of how it has been developed. You know what happens when people get practice at doing stuff don't you? The process gets refined and optimized, people get better at it and it takes less time along with costing less (time=money).
Sure it's had a fair amount of time in development, not really a factor though when you con...
It's most certainly news for the couple hundred thousand or so people that are in the Home beta, such as myself.
My God the internet is home to some stupid people.
Well as far as media playable on consoles goes, it is a PS3 exclusive :p
