Amazingly I haven't played this. Just bought it. <3 you Steam.
Not so sure about Tomb Raider or Doom.
What about Metroid Prime?
Great game. Maybe not the best, but absolutely one of the more emotionally involving gaming experiences I've had. Some of those short stories are incredibly sad, and the presentation is indeed top notch.
2 things have me wary about a sequel to some of my favorite games:
SquareEnix...
Also available on Xbox 360 & PS3...
Otherwise, looks good and hoping it's awesome!
Pretty funny how they stay professional while tearing the game up at the same time. Good review. Maybe this'll be saved in a year by patches, but by then, we'll all be playing something else.
Fun game and looks gorgeous, but some ppl are right saying there is little to no recoil, based on my play experience. Also, the maps are incredibly linear, which suits the gameplay, but takes some getting used to if you're a fan of the Battlefield series.
Doubt I'll pick it up but a fun beta nonetheless.
"Maybe it can be, but we just don't feel like the other console has the horsepower to carry this off."
"It's pure speculation, [Sucker Punch has] no idea of whether we can do it because we don't work on Xbox or any other console."
lower resolution? more jaggies?
a bit off considering the 360 is the machine that can actually do multi-sample anti aliasing.
the ps3 has talented first-party devs but they are working with pretty limited video hardware. the cell processor is more advanced in that it can handle more ai and physics calculations.
Server issues? Wow, that is so unlike an EA game. I mean, usually they are perfect. Right??
The difference between "we" and you is that your opinion wasn't solicited, it was imposed.
Hadn't really thought about a preset amt of online hrs for silver subs before. Not a bad idea.
It's the console most people are playing (I said playing, not purchasing, Wii fans). If you want the best multiplayer experience, you just gotta do it.
I game on my PC most often, so I let my Gold membership lapse in the summer and haven't really regretted it yet. If NHL 11 ever drops to a reasonable price ($70 for a game re-released yearly is ridiculous) I will most likely re-up.
I would love a modified silver account that lets me play online with...
I game on my consoles somewhat infrequently, and I must agree, it's annoying as hell waiting for a firmware update every time I fire up the ol' PS3. That said, I'd rather wait for a firmware update than not have issues fixed and lolfeatures added.
This is complicated... how? Put it above or below your tv, stand 4-6 feet away, and have decent lighting.
Seriously, is there really nothing else to bitch about in some people's lives?
I guess you got farther than most by actually reading the article, but try watching the video. The developer specifically points out that it can even cancel out the noise of a game or movie so it can still respond to your vocal commands.
Lol awesome video.
Hmm if they really fixed the mouse cursor I might want to check it out. Are menus a lot more responsive as well? I still don't like how everything is nested though; clearly designed for the PS3 crowd. Performance @ max was fine on my machine in OB, so if that's improved then it's just gravy.
Sounds like the "reviewer" stopped playing after character creation. Nothing regarding gameplay is described whatsoever. Though that may have been a fitting omission if the goal was justifying the 5/5 score. Maybe Squenix will be in touch next time they need a box description though.
They already said they are releasing a co-op campaign matchmaking patch about a month after release. Probably some new achievements related to that, is my guess.
Can't talk... too busy running benchmarks...
