Doesn't Windows 7 already have DirectX 11? If you open the start menu and type DXDIAG and hit enter. You'll see in the window that pops up, that your running DirectX 11.

The new way I do it is a lot easier than using torrents. And no need to do any kind of uploading. So that alone is enough to not want to use torrents anymore lol.

And what, you want me to restart my modem every damn time I torrent? Plus I don't have that kind of internet service, my IP doesn't change with a modem reset. It just changes every few weeks.

My upload speed is only 1mbps. Like most peoples internet service. So when I download lets say a blue-ray movie.. That...

I don't even use torrents anymore.

Reasons:

1. Torrenting a lot leads to you being constantly pinged by users on the tracker. Degrading your network performance. I couldn't play many online games for sh!t because of it. And this is with no torrents running. It takes a few days for your IP to be clear of most tracks you've connected to.

2. Speeds vary greatly depending on seeds and leechs. Sometimes it can go pretty fast, but for the most part when your g...

I've been saying this since the specs for them were first release. The 920 and 940 are identical chips. The 940 is merely overclocked more. And the Extreme has a few very small improvements that hardly justify the price increase.

Go with a 920 and overclock and spend the rest of your money on a really nice GPU/Cooling/RAM.

Yeah, this things absolutely amazing. I can't believe how stupid mobile device companies have been in not adopting this. It's cheap to make and plows through the competition. I'd really love to get my hands on one.

If I built this system myself. It would only cost around $1000-1300.

I really despise pre-made gaming computer companies. They rip people off immensely.

Anyone wanting to get in on PC Gaming. BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER. It's not hard to learn. It's quite simple, it's like grown up lego.

@BattleAxe: Lol stop being such a raging little fanboy and buzz off. Your asking him to spend $500 on a Console, instead of less than $100 on a GPU that can play the same game, at almost the same settings.

@play2man: Yes that's perfectly fine. You'll be able to play on better than just low.

Sigh... This isn't a GAMING NEWS ONLY WEBSITE.

This is a NEWS FOR GAMERS website. Which means... News that Gamers might be interested in.

This isn't in my Firefox. And I have all the newest Windows updates. Including all .Net Framework packs.

Is this a Vista only thing or something? Cause I use XP.

Spore had pretty much nothing to do with Evolution.

It was basically a Creationist game.

You create an organism.. It grows in size a bit. You create a mammal... It grows a bit. And then you grow as a society and then start creating life on other planets <_<. It's ridiculous.

It should have had an actual evolution engine, where you'd be able to see your creatures evolve over millions of years, due to random genetic mutation, adaption and natural selec...

This was just a rumor by arstechnica. They have since retracted their story. So don't fall into the gossip people.

Presto! $500 down the drain!

Well generally it's cheaper after you already have a PC. Cause you don't need to upgrade the case, your hard drives, your disc drives, your sound card, monitor, or other things that aren't performance related.

Most of the time, just your GPU. Other times, your CPU/Motherboard also. And even less likely your RAM, as the standard of ram doesn't change as often. (And a new PSU if power requirements are to high for the new parts you have.)

Edit: Oops, I read "sick&...

@Kigmal:

It's not hard at all. And why wouldn't you want to learn? Do you not want to expand your knowledge about things? Just want to stay a stupid person who's controlled by people with knowledge?

It's simple to put together a PC. There's not a whole lot you need to learn. Just connect things to the only slots that fit them. Check the specs of a motherboard before you buy it and your other parts. So you know what's compatible.

There's a bit more to it. But a li...
