From what was shown recently, they played Crysis on High settings (from what I saw analyzing the game footage) and in 720p (1280x720) (Which they said themselves). So overall, it's meant to give you a Console type experience, not a PC gamer type experience. Which is all they can really hope for if they want to make good profit. As it would be unfeasible for them to supply top of the line performance to thousands of players. Not to mention the bandwidth needed for those high resolutions (1920x...

It does matter because people interested in technology like myself like to know these kinds of things. It's knowledge, it's nice to learn. I'd like to know what chips they are using to do this real time high compression. And what GPU's/CPU's they are using in their servers and how many servers they actually have in each area. I'm very interested in that stuff.

While every other time I would agree with what you said. This post of his is actually to the point. And I agree with him on it.

As someone who actually knows a good amount about technology, I am interested in the server specs, as I would understand the performance of them. Currently I'm wary about the ability of their servers to be able to handle the kind of loads 10's of 1000's or maybe even 100's or 1000's of players would place on the server. The kind of bandwidth coming out o...

I sit in front of the computer all day. I merely take vitamins/supplements and don't take in more calories than my body needs. I've started taking a few mile walk every night or second night though.

(To people who get acne, here's a tip I've found that has kept me from breaking out. Wash your face good every morning and night. It will keep those buggers from forming. As acne mainly forms from body oil accumulation on the surface of your skin.)

Yeah this technology will revolutionize prosthetic's and robotics. Carbon nanotubes are like a do anything material. They are being proposed for for use in so much stuff lol.

Just another sign of Apple's overly fascist ways. They don't want people to have freedom, they only want people to do things their way.

I'm not saying Apple doesn't make a good product, just that their views are arrogant, ignorant and selfish. Thus making the execution of said product poorly done.

This is something that DOCSIS 3.0 for cable internet does also. It bonds channels to increase bandwidth.

Sadly almost no ISP's seem to be upgrading to DOCSIS 3.0 yet -_-. The only one I've heard of doing it so far is retarded Comcast. One of the only good choices they have ever made.

Combofix.exe is usually the only thing you'll need if your infected.

That's cause your running IE7.. Which gives you a really low score lol. Plus Vista which robs you of some of your performance also.

I was using Firefox and Windows XP SP3 XD.

Tried it out... Got 210 lol.. My computer sucks bawlz. Going to spend some of my student loan on a new computer. This things like 6 years old.

RayTracing doesn't effect the GPU's performance on calculating triangles, textures, filtering. Because these are done on specifically made cores in the GPU. GPU's have recently added what they call "Stream Processors" or "Shader Cores" which are more general purpose cores on the GPU, which are used for things like shading, physics and more general purpose computing. This is what Nvidia's CUDA/PhysX calculates with.

Real time Ray Tracing won...

Lol... HipHopGamer. As soon as I saw the name and the picture of him on the website, I knew this story didn't have a single bit of credibility or unbiased views. He just seems like a guy who is a fan of his console, and not games in general. And thus doesn't actually pay attention to tech news. He probably doesn't even know what RAM stands for lol.

Actually, CE2 is HEAVILY optimized. Nvidia partnered with Crytek and supported them with a good chunk of money to make this engine give amazing graphics, while still being playable on today's hardware.

You should take a look at the CE2 feature sheet, and see all the features it implements and optimizations it has brought to the industry.
Although, unless you have a good understanding of coding and game engines, you won't understand as fully as I do.

This has been known for more than a year now. Quite a few articles posted about it here even.

But still exciting none the less, will be nice to see processors based on it.

And since Nvidia has PhysX, there's pretty much no reason to go with ATI anymore since their priced around the same =/

The 4870 would be nice, but Nvidia has been making good headway with it's PhysX and CUDA. Paying the little extra bit for a Nvidia card gives you that nice option, as more and more games start using PhysX.

I'm still a fan of Ati's cards, but Nvidia has a stranglehold with it's PhysX =/. I wish ATI would just let go of it's pride for a second and adopt PhysX.

I live free with Windows. How? Piracy :) haha.

If you choose to use Linux instead of Windows, then you are no longer a sale for Windows.
If you pirate Windows, you are no longer a sale for Windows.
