2.5 billion seem to be too much to be spending on this deal. I'm really starting to worry about Microsoft. Every move they make nowadays appear to be out of desperation. Their just throwing millions and billions around like it grow on trees. I get it that they're a wealthy company but they didn't get this wealthy by just throwing money away. I hope they know what their doing because given their recent track record and business decisions you would think the company is being ran by ...

I wouldn't be so sure. Microsoft's lack to support any numbers other than 5 million shipped does not instill much confidence in the brand. It wouldn't be such a big deal if not for the fact they were the exact opposite last gen when they were winning. Even if their numbers were at 6 million, in 9 months that' not a bad feat at all. Instead their doing what they always do when things aren't going good; go silent, sugarcoat the obvious, act as if everything's fine, and t...

Yeah for the older games a subscription makes the most sense. They can even throw in a couple newer games to widen the appeal of the subscription.

I'll definitely be using this service a lot. While I don't fully agree with the price the concept is on point. How many time have you paid 50-60 bucks for a game and 4 hours into it want your money back? This gives you a way to test out a game before you buy it. Yeah demos used to be free but many of the demos were to short and tripped down to get an actual feel for the game. 1.99 for 4 hours of a brand new game isn't that bad at all depending on how you use it, but I think for u...

One thing I know for certain, Xbox One has been a very expensive venture for Microsoft. Between the Kinect failing to catch on to the masses, advertisements, all the money they've spent on timed exclusives, some of the more expensive one such as Titan Fall, Ryse, Dead Rising, Tomb Raider, buying Gears of War, all add up to billion of dollars and now Mojang for 2 billion. They've spent more money just trying to stay competitive than it cost to make Xbox One.

Well ( sigh ) I never expected Xbox One to have a great launch over there but this is ridiculous. I still don't think it's too late for Xbox One to salvage some kind of victory, but they have to make some savvy moves and fast if they hope to remain competitive. As far of what those moves are is anybody's guess but maybe they can look to Sony for answers. I know that may sound unpopular for console war junkies but just look at all the moves Sony has been making to bring attention t...

I'm not liking Samsungs Gear VR at all and seems rushed in my opinion, at best to try and grab a foothold before the competition. Just the thought of slapping your phone in there and draining your battery for a mediocre VR experience makes no sense. Also it shortens your battery life so it doesn't even make economical sense.

I feel you on trying to be the peacemaker but it's no use, gamers hearts are hardened. Ps4 fans won't be satisfied until Xbox One is drowning in it's own blood, and vice versa Xbox fans haven't given up and won't be satisfied until the tables are turned. So there is no room for middle ground here, but I do respect your opinion.

I love how developers are starting to find ways to put judgement back into the gamers hands. I think people have become to independent on reviews these days. Sometimes a game gets a bad review that you might happen to like if you ever played it, but because it got low reviews it turns a lot of people off. Kojima did the same thing with the Silent Hills reveal as P.T. People were playing Silent Hill and didn't even realize it. It was so amazing because these days the internet ruins the sur...

That's going to sell a million PS4's this holiday all by itself. It's so gorgeous.

Yeah it's pretty unfortunate for Sega, the Saturn actually wasn't bad. I still remember how good Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Marvel vs Capcom looked. But as soon as I got my PS1 for Christmas and played Crash, Tomb Raider, and a Resident Evil 2 demo the Saturn just didn't matter to me anymore.

It would seem PS4 will be at 11 million by the end of this month.

The Dreamcast was one fine console, just never really got an opportunity. If only this would have been the successor of the Genesis instead of the Saturn things could've been so much different. Who knows today we could be arguing which is better... PS4 or DC4.

Neither does 360, but on topic what did they expect to happen launching in Japan without a single Japanese game.

The reason isn't hard to see. Just look at the picture above with PS4 on top of Xbox One like every other picture with the two paired together since launch. Simply PS4 is beating Xbox One in every category. Hardware, aesthetics, software, features, controls, goodwill, reputation, usability, 1st party games, price, etc. There is no single category that Xbox one dominates in and while some may be arguable, others are no contest. I understand owners of Xbox One will disagree with this as it...

Of course not. No game on Xbox will ever sell more than Halo. That's the reason people are buying Xbox One's in the 1st place. They're all Halo fans. So expect MCC to sell 5 million right out the gate. That's the same reason no other 3rd party game on Wii U could ever outsell Zelda or Mario Kart.

Nicely said and I hadn't looked at it that way, but it makes a lot of sense.

Shouldn't come as a surprise. PS4 sales already double Xbox One 2 to 1. So why is this news?

4288d ago 16 agree1 disagreeView comment

For me I think it mostly comes down to what these consoles will be in the future and how you feel of their individual directions. PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One are all going in different directions and some opposite from where they started.

PS4 has pretty much stayed the course and is looking to expand through streaming services and VR in the near future while also dominating the console market in exclusives through it's own in house studios and collaborations with 3rd party d...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 the Arcade game on nes. I used to love the Ninja Turtles when I was a kid and had all the toys, even had a Turtles backpack for school. Words can't describe how excited I was when my dad got me the game for christmas, then played it and it was just like the cartoon.
