It would certainly fair better than Xbox one. PS4 has considerably more bandwidth and doesn't have all the bottlenecks like esram. That said PS4 would still struggle because Crysis is a strain on even some of the best PC's unless you have a GeForce GTX Titan or something along those lines but that'll cost you at least a grand for for just the GPU alone. So at $400 PS4's shortcomings can be easily forgiven.
Wow, it seems like a lot of developers are starting to speak out about XOne's hardware limitations and development difficulties. At one point it seemed like there was a code of silence among the dev community, now there just getting bold.
It seems like the Xbox One is just a very unpopular console in certain places. Even though it had an impressive launch, those sales typically came from the Xbox faithfuls. both Sony and Nintendo also have their die hard fanboys as well. The problem is the Xbox One has been wrapped in negativity long before it even launched. There are thousands of articles all over the internet about the Always online DRM policies, Kinect collecting your data, being 50% less powerful than PS4 but cost $100 mor...
I agree.
I honestly think VR is going to be a lot more just another accessory. Sony already said their treating the launch of Morpheus like the launch of a new platform and I think that's the right approach to have. As of right now Sony has yet to announce if you even need a PS4 to use it, people only assume they do.
I don't agree with it either, but if nothing else it'll grab someones attention. Obviously it worked for you.
Personally I don't think it looks all that bad, but you should know that it's only a prototype still just like the Rift is.
I can see why Sony launched PS4 in Japan last. There just isn't much of a market for consoles over there anymore. Looking at the 360's miniscule numbers I think it would be best if Xbox One didn't launch there at all. Sony's sales of there consoles might be small but Xbox 360 is almost non existent.
I have to disagree with this. While i'll admit some games are better off without Multiplayer like more story driven single player games. However some games thrive off multiplayer and to tell the truth has become more of sport. I used to like the Multiplayer in KillZone 2 more than the single player experience, and that's not the only game I've enjoyed like that. All i'm saying is some games are better with it and some without.
Sony could still add external HDD support in a future firmware update and then they will have the best of both worlds in terms of storage. Xbox One on the other hand is stuck with only external storage for the entire generation because internal support isn't built in the hardware. Maybe they can do it in a future model but I doubt it as the reason consoles get different models in the 1st place is because of lower manufacturing costs, this would only add to it. I really have to tip my hat ...
I just recently started getting into Twitch. I mostly like watching it for competitive games or as sort of a preview for games I might intend on getting. I can see the appeal of it though, perhaps I might stream some games on it myself on a drunk night. lol
It's a little off topic but i don't see how VGChartz still has PS4 sitting at 9.4 million when Sony officially announced 10 million at Gamescom. Perhaps they're getting lazy?
That's actually a very good sign for PS4. That 10 million sold to customers is starting to show it's weight through sales.
I seriously doubt it. Sony has very ambitious plans for Playstation Now, and the very smartphone or tablet that you already own could potentially be the Vita 2. In fact that PS Now has the potential to completely change everything. It could come in the form of an app you download on your computer or come installed in your new television set that comes bundled with a DS4.
Some people think it's a bad thing but by not having the burden of having to manufacture millions of c...
Wow, something like this would really help launch the Morpheus. Just the thought of playing Silent Hill in VR is exciting and frightening. I'm not a big fan of Sony or Microsoft buying exclusive multiplats but this is one of the rare instances where it makes sense.
Lara Croft.
PS4 looks a whole lot better dude. The sad thing is that it looks even better when next to an Xbox One.
Now that I look at it, it does sorta look like a sardine can. lol
How they gonna give Lillard the cover and he didn't even make the team on Team USA? If that's the case they should give it to Anthony Davis because he beasting or even Curry for that matter.
Sony has ambitious plans for PS Now. Their trying to make it where you can play there games on any device you own. Weather that be your TV, Laptop, phone, tablet, projector, etc. Sony wants PlayStation to be accessible anywhere at anytime. They're trying to break away from the limitations of dedicated gaming hardware. It really is the only way consoles can compete with mobile in the future ( especially in Japan ), and it also eases the burden of manufacturing hardware where more times th...
