China is a complicated market. Xbox one got delayed there also.
Keep in mind for Xbox to even hit that 10 million they practically had to give it away for free during the holiday rush. Before that they were stuck at about 5 million globally. For a console that started out as 500 bundled with Kinect then backtracked and sold at a discount of 300 with free games during Christmas isn't a good sign. I know 10 million is good for a consoles 1st year but look at all they had to give up just to reach that milestone and now they're already rumored to be m...
I don't really care much for the specific numbers, I'm just happy both consoles are having success. Not too long ago the media was saying console gaming is dead. It's good to see that it's alive and well.
Thanks for the information, it was very helpful. Bubbles up for you man.
All I know is 10 million is a lot of consoles for any console a little over a year on the market. Even Sony was shocked PS4 was selling as rapidly as it did. To be honest I think if at year end Sony were at 10 million they would be happy with that as well. It's only an issue for fanboys but Sony and Microsoft are both happy and seeing success. Microsoft has nothing to be ashamed of selling 10 million in a year, even 8 million is still good.
What I don't get is why do Hackers seem to only target Sony and Microsoft? I know their not the only ones but their the most famous for these attacks particularly the consoles. Are they just easy victims or what? I just can't understand what the hackers goal is and why they're doing all of this.
I don't know exactly what Nintendo's cooking up I just hope whatever their doing with the console they don't give it some weird name like the "New Wii U." Nintendo's been striking out in the name department for quiet some time. I'll admit I thought the Wii had a weird name as well but I understood the concept, but Wii U, New 3DS, Mii's, etc just kills me.
Wish they would make a definitive edition for part 1,2, or 3. Those are the true classics.
I'm a gamer from the 80's and i didn't agree with it then and don't agree with it now.
Personally I don't agree with the concept that any third party title should be exclusive to any console. I understand it's just business and a way to leverage customers to your console over the competition, but it still feels like a dirty tactic to me and that goes for all the console manufactures. The only games that should be exclusive are games that's built in-house. All 3rd party exclusives are doing is robbing gamers of opportunities weather that be Tomb Raider on Xbox one or...
I won't be sold on any game until they've been properly reviewed and battle tested. One thing I've learned in 2014 is that hype is just another form of a bandwagon.
The thing is Sony has been in the business for a long time. They used to be the juggernauts of the hardware business but times change and new competition has stepped up. To be honest all Sony really needs is one major hardware hit and they could easily be back on top again. Just look at how much iphone changed Apples fortunes as well as the entire industry including gaming by accident. For all we know Sony's project Morpheous could be the next big thing but only time will tell. The proble...
Nintendo is in great shape. Unlike Sony and Microsoft, gaming is technically nintendo's only business. So even if the Wii U never sells a single extra console, as long as their still seeing profits from software as well as 3DS and other ventures they'll survive.
Sony should just start selling those versions to the open market. Those colors and even the boot up and theme brings back good memories.
Share play is a killer feature and IMO one of the most innovative features of any console to come along in a long time. In a way it's kind of a digital throwback/ upgrade to the way we used to share games in the 90's only more convenient as you don't have to physically go to your friends house or invite them over. And it should come as no surprise that Sony would throw restrictions on it as gamers would easily abuse it.
My copy just finished downloading. Cant wait to play this after I beat Wolfeinstien.
These are the kinds of situations when PS Now will come in handy. ;-)
Not to this extent. It's just gotten downright sad. At 1st I thought the console war was kind of fun but now it's pathetic. The worse part about it is half the main culprits are grown people even in their 30's and 40's going back and forth over these machines like they have stocks invested in them. Microsoft and Sony are both large corporations in it to make money, period. The perception people have that one company is good and the other bad is just plain false.
Checking it out on Twitch, the game looks amazing.
I get the feeling this is gonna be one of those games that's really good but end up getting low review scores. Rather than give credit for all the things it does right, people are going to criticize it for the things it doesn't do. Because of the outstanding graphics this game has gotten a lot of hype, but people are already judging it saying it's not innovative enough. But if it does good in what it's trying o do then I see no problem. That's why you can't always base...
