To be fair, this is similar to buying a tv with no hdmi cable included. It is absolutely needed for the device to work, yet is not included in the product. They assume you already have one. Is it a fair assumption, maybe / maybe not. Do most tvs ship with an hdmi cable to ensure you can use the device you've purchased? Absolutely. I think as long as they clarify that this is the base model, and come out with skus that contain camera and or move then it's all good.
What Sony can do to offset the price of VR is to lower the price of the PS4 in a bundle package. Somehow make the whole thing 500 dollars with Rigs packaged in. It would literally explode off of the shelves.
it all depends on my purchasing power. If I value graphics and have the money, I'll get a PC. Ease of use obviously Xbox. However in reality, I am buying a ps4 because the perception that the Xbox has limited shelf life now exists thanks to MS.

I have the same feeling but I still purchased it because its an ambitious project that's never been done to this scale on console. I am hoping there is a day 1 VR patch for it which would significantly improve its longevity.

Sea of Thieves looks cool I admit, but video only shows it running on a very high end PC. Recore only has a CG trailer so I have no idea what it actually will be. Crackdown only runs on a PC for now, and blowing up buildings is nothing new, I can play old ass syndicate wars to do that. Uncharted is only 1 game, plus they are ENDING...

Just bought it, definitely not worth 60 dollars. What's going on with this generation... It's becoming more and more like demolition man when a 7 second hotdog commercial is treated like a full song. I see gaming getting too expensive for my tastes if I need to pay 100+ dollars per game (60 for the game engine, 30 for extra game content that lets you 'enjoy' the game).

Uncharted/TLOF/Halo are proven games.
It's more like Gear Box. Yea they made Borderlands, but more recently they made Duke Nukem and Aliens Colonial Marines and both tanked. This game needs to get an overall 80% or above rating.
