Call a spade a spade. Xbox one is a hype machine that has a niche fan base. Ps4 is picking up where ps2 left off as the official game console. PS3 was Sony getting a big head and had their hand slapped. It is what it is, let the dislikes begin.
I just played UC2 on PSNOW and it didn't even look this blurry. Something is definitely up.
If you are trying to show off so can I. I have also worked on many projects, architecting and implementing enterprise level solutions with multiple on and offshore parallel workstreams. But who cares, since I am not a developer on last guardian.
If you had 2 cents you could use google and find out the reason why they went 3 years into development was due to them actually being able to complete the game on PS3, but the framerate was extremely low and the system could not hand...
Last guardian was made for an entirely different architecture, and it was admitted they could not make the game they wanted to so development was postponed to the next generation. This games trailer was launched prior to the Xbox release.
If you're saying it's the same thing then they are saying they aren't getting the results they desire out of the current system.
Games, yes. Game engines, not as much. You're talking about the underlying framework for the software, so a hardening phase is needed since the framework and the game must run through the same amount of regression test cycles as the first line of code you write. At some point there is a freeze and no more optimizations can be made. This isn't the game code, this is the engine which is the game codes foundation. Usually that is the first thing that's hardened, it just makes me wond...
This title was announced before xbox launched. The trailer for this came out in like 2013. Why are they still optimizing the engine? Not being a naysayer, I'm just sayin tho.
Microsoft still doesn't have a game that can compete with PS3's TLOU.
Sony is going to shut it down with all of the megatons coming. At this point only an idiot would buy an xbox.
Do tell
if one cant understand the sarcasm then they are truly lost.
Xbox one sold at least 20 mil. Only a few mil to go and they'll be caught up to ps4. It really is a close race. By end of year I expect xbone up by at least 5 million. Tomb raider will get the Xbox to 30 mil sold to consumers, 50 mil sold to stores. By end of Sept at least 60 mil sold to families, so by mid august expect the official numbers to be 80 mil sold through the market. Look for a huge jump in the next week or so to bring the final numbers of this week to over 100 mil sold to end...
If MS really put money behind this game you'd be damn sure it would be a real exclusive. That is the difference between tr, bb, and sfv.
If square didn't ha e the money to complete it, Ms is not going to I've them money to finish it on 3 platforms, just 1. Thats how you know these are duck tales. Ms has "exclusivity passion".
No one would make a stink about it if interviews like these didn't exist trying to make it seem like somethin...
@Transporter47
Once the user base gets big enough, they will be able to dictate the price to publishers.
It varies from Netflix in that there is no other service that can compete with PSNow (as of this moment). I dont see this changing in the near future, so Sony can corner the market if they extend the service to all devices (android windows IOS, tv, anything with a pulse). The user base would increase drastically, which gives Sony leverage to tell publishe...
As far as software sales go, the 360 was far more popular than the ps3, even with soaring failure rates. the high price of the ps3, accompanied by the software failures of ps3 multiplat games, and finally, the differences in gaming cultures (fps and sports games are not the focus of the ps3) is the reason why multiplats sold higher on 360.
@moldy bread
A software purchase will never be 1:1 with a hardware purchase, so dont look at hardware sales being coupled with so...
Everyone knows most people had at least 2-3 360's due to defective systems. Even with MS's warranty, I know plenty of people who still bought a new 360, due to wanting it now / lazyness / whatever. Only an ignorant fanboy would argue against this. IMO, if not for its high failure rate, the 360 in terms of hardware sales would be around 70-80% of what they are today.
The way this reads made me actually burst out laughing
"TLOU, game of the decade"
"BB, Best game of the last 10 years, aka best game of the decade"
"UC, Infamous, Order, No Mans, GOW, LG - all games of the decade"
@Naga
You could say the same thing about BC.
Its really just being able to have quality games that you can display via camera. Any type of game can be a hardware seller as long as its quality!!
It looks like they've upped the resolution, but taken some of the detail out.
yes FF7 is a "timed" exclusive. However, if they get the game right, which everyone knows they must, can you imagine the Sony hype engine behind it once its ready to launch? It will be (kinda already is) deemed a Sony game; a guaranteed system seller. Every commercial / ad will mask it as a PS game.
For anyone saying Sony didnt win E3, youre crazy. Everything Sony does is strategic, everything MS does is tactical. Same goes for BC vs PSNow, yea I can play what i pre...
I heard it was + 1.5 million, almost at 2.
