First of all testers get paid regardless of the price of the title. If you are trying to say that they would feel somewhat slighted because it's a free game then I agree with you, but the paycheck will more than likely make that feeling go away.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Most people holding this title believe it to be a great game. However, the balance you speak of will always be subjective to the person playing. It's just in this case most people will feel you are full of shit.
You can play sf3 in English via emulator. I am playing them on ssf, works perfectly. Lookup sf3 translation.
Also. I have dragon force 2 in English working perfectly with ssf. The fun factor of Saturn RPGs has yet to be matched imo.
I actually like the convenience of having a digital copy. As long as I have access to my merchandise 24/7 it's easier and has a better value add than a physical disk. I also play over the network when I am not home, something I can't do with hard copies.

Whats funny to me is that they the reviews are mostly checklists of 'does it meet the criteria for what a game is supposed to be in terms of longevity, content, online, multiplayer' and nothing about the pure fun factor.
I fired up SSF (sega saturn emulator) and played a few old school rpgs and arcade type games (skiing, snowboarding, track and field, etc). You can see they focused on the fun factor of the game which makes it easy to overlook the glitches and what not...

Guys, the game flopped. Over 1 million in 2 months for a title like Tomb Raider is a flop. If it does the same numbers on PS4 in the same time frame it would be an even bigger flop due to the bigger fan base.

Xbox is a dead console. It literally has nothing anyone wants besides an annual Racer and Halo. If I got this for christmas I would prefer it stay in the box. Half the magic is watching your kid coming down the stairs, seeing the presents, finding that one that is behind the tree in the corner, opening it up, and seeing priceless expression on their face when they realize you didnt get them a PS4.
I'll wait until around 4 dlc's are available. Maybe then I'll feel like I've purchased a full game.
