Scoring is subjective. Polarizing games like death stranding, no mans sky and sea of thieves all have common “simulator with no substance” gameplay mechanics which make scoring them highly subjective. For me 4/10 means playable with glitches. 3/10 means playable but boring, glitches or not.

No other company has the same core values as Sony PlayStation. This guarantees brand loyalty by default. I agree there hasn’t been as much hype this fall for any console but the editor is clearly jaded.

Videogames are a luxury item. Attempting to force a change in a luxury market is immediate suicide. Streaming will forever be a compliment to gaming until the masses (not businesses) decide otherwise.
It’s all about perception, which has been driven by the different marketing strategies. PSNow rolled out relatively quietly compared to Microsoft streaming services.
