your vision must match your user-base otherwise you're subjected to losing said user-base. I will argue nobody wanted a console that checks if you're online 24/7. Microsoft will say the same once they saw aforementioned user-base abandoning ship before reversing course.

I actually disagree with this. Things are different today for since I have a wife/kids. I have other daily responsibilities that take higher priority than gaming. I don’t have time to play the game but I support you so give me access to the cut scenes and ending.
