If Microsoft bought Nintendo the sales of Mario and Zelda would dramatically decrease for the sheer fact that they would be tied to Microsoft. Same goes for apple, Samsung Amazon and Google. Gambit system was so stupid. If I wanted the game to play itself then they should have just released ff12 the movie. It made absolutely no sense once I realized my people would just start fighting on their own with those stupid arc lines. Completely eradicated any reason to play the game. Plus the story was trash which should have been its saving grace.

I hate that everyone waits for Microsoft to turn around and “do the right thing”. Put Sega or Atari in their shoes and people would’ve already called game, set, match on their console. Their whole platform is a joke when it comes to gaming. They continue to think because they have brand recognition that they can go against the grain and carve out this uncharted, unwanted space where everyone shares everything and all games are good enough if they meet the status quo and achieve mediocracy.

your vision must match your user-base otherwise you're subjected to losing said user-base. I will argue nobody wanted a console that checks if you're online 24/7. Microsoft will say the same once they saw aforementioned user-base abandoning ship before reversing course.

The solution should be for the team to review every piece of content in the queue where the creator wants to be compensated. The game should always playable for a set amount of time, with an option to pay the creator for full access. Any game that ‘passes’ can be sold for a fixed monetary range (.01- $3) these would be very few and far between. For all the other games that don’t make it, give them the option to submit the idea to an indie dev team.
