I'd call House of Wolves more of an add on than an expansion.
The "Comet" content coming in September is an expansion. It's nearly the size of the full game.
It'll probably cost $40, but it has something like 12 missions, 5 strikes, 1 raid, 6 PVP maps, new classes, etc.
@hkgamer
I thought the stealth mechanics were great in Uncharted 2, less so in 3.
My goal was to always make it look as cinematic as possible, using the cover to cover moves. I could typically get through those areas without alerting anyone.
The mission design was just so good in UC2. Still my favorite single player campaign of all time (okay...maybe TLOU, maybe).
Breaking into the museum with Flynn is one of my favorite campaign missions ever. You knew right away Uncharted 2 was going to be special.
I replayed it a few months back and the art and lighting still look incredible.
This article is spot on. Not everything needs to be "open world".
If they deliver a fun, engaging campaign that's a decent length I'd be surprised if gamers didn't embrace it...so long as the mechanics feel right.
I just took a gander at that MisterX fella's site (lmao @ it being .livejournal)
Anyway...that was one of my sadder experiences in recent memory. Why would any human being spend THAT much time focusing/speculating/BSing about the power of two consoles?
I just...I don't even.
What the hell man!?
Destiny is a flawed game but I'm not exactly "disappointed" with it. From a core gameplay mechanics perspective it's the best FPS I've played this gen.
But yeah...I do want 'more' of it and they should have used a Bioshock-like story telling format. They wasted an awesome voice cast when they could have had them building the games lore IN GAME...the Grimoire stuff should have played like Bioshock's audio tapes.
I still think...
You may have to reach a certain level first...but you just purchase them from a faction leader.
What are you basing that on? The pre-alpha build?
I feel like when it releases there will be plenty of "best looking game" conversations taking place.
Destiny is an extremely flawed game...
yet I've put more hours into it than any other title this year. Just goes to show how solid the core gameplay mechanics are.
Also leads to much of the disappointment surrounding the title. The 'feel' of the game and gunplay is just so damn good, people are itching to have more to use it with. Those criticisms are justified.
The people who call it a 'bad game' are way off base though. ...
From the director of The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow. Doesn't get much more promising than that.
Michael Fassbender headlining the Assassin's Creed movie sounds pretty good as well. He's never been the type to take a movie with a poor script. Just hope it's not PG-13'd. The games are rated mature, the movie should be as well.
They should just reduce the number of NPCs period.
Yeah it looks cool...but 75% would still be plenty and could help the frame rate substantially.
Fairly certain he was laughing at the terminology, not curious about how it was formed :)
Doesn't look like you watched the video.
This looks like a perfect evolution to Uncharted 2's gameplay, which was the best in series.
The use of stealth, traversal and TLOU-like hand to hand combat is glorious.
Add "ThePowerofGreen" or whatever the hell he calls himself to that list.
Seriously...there's some incredible small details. During the hand to hand part where Drake gets pushed against the wall with water coming down...it hits his head and actually changes his hair for a minute.
I didn't know Baker was Pagan Min until I'd already completed Far Cry 4.
The guy is incredibly versatile, even if he does simply use a variation of his normal voice for many roles, like Delsin in InFamous.
Everyone needs to watch the video over at Gamersyde without the typical Youtube compression, it's incredible.

I thought Pagan Min was an awesome villain...and at the end it's hard to even call him a villain. (I let him live)
I also had no idea that was Troy Baker voicing him until I'd already completed the game. There's a reason that guy gets all the roles, definitely a great performance.
Rabi Ray Rana has a radio segment at one point (I believe after you free a certain amount of outposts) where he discusses how he thinks it's possible some people are just "born to kill". The same way other's are "born to be a musician" or something.
I thought it was a funny way to acknowledge the lack of development/background for Ajay to be killing like that, since everyone in Kyrat knows who his dad is.
PS. Rabi Ray Rana is awes...
Killzone: SF has some really, really great online multiplayer.
I think it can be had for $20 elsewhere though.
That said, there's no tax if you go digital.
