Reviews from people I know who played it seem mostly positive.
This reminds me of the Uncharted 1 situation more than Ryse, I don't really get that comparison, which I've seen a lot (they're both pretty, I get that part).
I recently went back and played the first Uncharted on PS Now and, in hindsight, it's not a great game by today's standards. It was an incredible foundation for the franchise with great characters and world building thou...
I'm perfectly fine with Xur not selling everything though. They're called "exotic" weapons for a reason.
Then again I say this as someone with Gjallahorn, Thunderlord, Hawkmoon, etc. I'm sure if I was on the other side I'd be cursing Xur, RNGesus, etc.
Odd title given there was recent news about the game and no mentions of it possibly being dead.
That being said, I echo what others are saying here regarding making it a full retail game. It certainly has an engine that you'd expect from a triple A retail title.
"Kojima shows pics of Snakes growing horn..."
Wait, what?
Give him some tentacles and we got some freaky manga brewing.
Well said, but leave Destiny out of it.
Regardless of how you feel about it, gamers are getting hundreds of hours of enjoyment from it...shortcomings and all.
Think I'll pick up Diablo 3.
It's cold as balls in Toronto and we probably have another month or so of this type of weather...could use a game that requires some serious playing time.
Never played a Diablo game but this version seems to be the definitive one.
Any recommendations on the best class to go with?
They'll look better because of the close angles and level of detail being higher. Pretty sure ND confirmed they're all in engine now and not prerendered like their games last gen.
There's ALWAYS a "drop in visuals" to hit 60 FPS...because no matter how pretty it as at 60 frames (TLOU: Remastered) they'll always be able to add more if it's at 30.
These are consoles...they're working with set hardware. I wish people would stop saying that.
I'd like to see what type of visuals they're capable of at a solid, consistent 30 frames. That's what everyone's expectation should be at this point.

I thought it would be more playstyle related.
Those guys who do nothing but blink around with shotguns should be locked in the Vault of Glass forever. Shotguns are not primary weapons! You blinky shotty bastards!
He's not talking about people like you, who didn't play 100 hours+. He's speaking specifically to those people.
Maybe you should "stfu" if you can't even comprehend what someone is saying.
Yeah this game has flawless gunplay, really. It's a big reason people are still playing...and also why you never really heard complaints about FPS around its release despite that being the thing to bitch about for gamers recently.
This game seems to hate FPS games, why is he even reviewing the game?
At the bottom of the review he states that he gave up on Crysis a few hours in. Why continue to review a type of game that clearly isn't for you?
Not to mention your review is 4 months late.
Come on man, you know damn well Polygon wouldn't say that...
without adding something like "offensive to the visually impaired".
The small bit from the first Destiny gameplay reveal had a funnier ghost with more personality.
It's pretty obvious they changed a bunch of it last minute though.
"Peter Dinklage's performance as Ghost in Destiny was about as exciting as a day old plate of spaghetti."
So...you're saying it was awesome?
Never played them last gen.
Interested in playing them now.
You might say I...need it?
I'm starting to wonder if the guys over at Polygon like videogames.
I typically read their reviews as complaints about what they wanted a game to be and what it ended up being, rather than just reviewing a game for what it is.
IGN is actually bang on for once with their 8.5 score.
Well, that about settles it. Tomb Raider was my favorite game of 2013, picked up the remaster for PS4 and had no regrets.
Will now be picking up an XB1 when this releases, as I'm sure there will be a holiday bundle.
I know it'll come to PS4 eventually, but I know I won't be able to wait.
Stoked about the info on the melee system. The QTE focused melee was one of the weaker aspects of the last title and the only downside to the co...
Fair enough. I tend to see more sense in comparing a cover-based third person shooter that's a big change from the developer's previous games to a cover based third person shooter that was a big change from the developer's previous games. As was the case with ND at the time.
The situation with the reviews for Ryse is similar, but I'm looking more at the parallel in terms of where The Order and Uncharted were released in their respective generations and how the...
