Cheaper for the manufacturer...makes a lot of sense, really.
When it's 3 games at once I see the downside though. That's about 100 gigs of downloads right off the bat.
There's really no reason for a PS4 to be any more slim.
I have no idea what sort of witchcraft they'd have to perform to pull that off. If it's at the sacrifice of cooling or something I'd just go with the standard console.
Yeah...those 2 drop within the first 10 days of the month as well. Helldivers on the 3rd, Hotline Miami 2 on the 10th.
Looking forward to the Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I'm on chapter 5 right now and don't really understand any review below 5/10.
It's absolutely overly cinematic, but it was never marketed as anything other than that. I don't agree with reviewing games for something they're not instead of what they intended to be. Not every game is aiming for the same thing.
That said, there's definitely room for improvement and there DO need to be more extended gameplay segments. RaD has acknowledged...
Considering how far ahead of it's peers Rockstar was with the GTA 4 DLC, I don't doubt it.
Come back around Uncharted 4's release to talk about "downgrades" it should be pretty hilarious.
Pre-alpha UC4 shames 99% of other titles.
It will be over 2 years by release.
Really not that soon compared to how fast other franchises move in their genre.
Most of it was correct I think.
He's selling the Praxic Fire warlock chest that's never been sold before, which was part of the prediction.
@dcbronco you don't seem very informed.
The X1 isn't the only system that's getting updates for its current SDK either.
If multiplatform developers start taking advantage of the GPGPU it could shift things even more.
Best comment I've read from a single bubbler on this site.
That said, as a guy who owned both PS3 and 360 and always chose multis on 360 because of the controller (and other reasons that don't need mentioning) I have to say I LOVE the Dualshock 4. The battery life is terrible but other than that they really did a great job with it.
I did some gaming with a friends X1 recently and it definitely seems different than the 360 one...not sure if it's be...
Sigh. More negative gaming articles. Just what the community needs!
"Let's focus on what we think is going to fail!" Riveting idea. Definitely not enough of this line of thinking lately.
The trailer I watched reminded me of a top down shooter version of Destiny. The characters even looked like mini guardians.
Looks like a lot of fun.
Probably can't see the view over the pile of Mountain Dew bottles and Dorito bags.
When was the game ever advertised as anything other than a highly cinematic, story driven third person shooter?
I even recall them saying stuff like "blurs the line between gameplay and cinematics" which apparently they achieved (people reporting they stood there a few moments not realizing the cutscene ended lol)
I don't think it ruins the game, but it's rate of fire is way too high.
It's now operating with increased connectitude due to enhanced linkitivity.
I read the Neogaf thread on The Order and the majority of the people in there seemed to like it, a lot.
I keep getting pooped on around here for comparing it to Uncharted 1, instead of Ryse like others, but I just see so many more similarities there.
New direction for a developer compared to previous games. New hardware, new engine built for said hardware, third person story driven cover based shooter, great characters and world building.
But it was also relatively short and didn't have multiplayer. If Uncharted came out in today's gaming landscape you&...
Halo didn't have a great story in the first game either.
Granted, there was more than Destiny, but the majority of the "lore" came after from novels and other sources.
I'm hoping for a system similar to Bioshock/Diablo 3 where you get those bits of backstory in game through the audio tapes/logs.
@gangsta_red
The first Uncharted game isn't better than The Order. I'm sure I'll get downvoted to oblivion for that, but it's not. (Just replayed it on PS Now)
It's my favorite series of all time...but the first game was extremely limited, similar to The Order. The studio had clearly spent a ton of time on the game engine, but in between the cutscenes you're essentially fighting wave after wave of enemies in fairly straight forward enc...
