Too impressed with your flexibility to downvote.
It was the victim of incredibly high expectations due to coming during a bit of a drought post console launch, and being an exclusive during a time the console war nonsense was at it's most rabid.
I feel like if a couple other big games came out during that time more would have just enjoyed it for what it was. InFamous has never been an open world game that you could invest hundreds of hours into, a lot of gamers were looking/hoping for a title like that at the time.
Enough what? Are you worn down by being bombarded with new TLOU games every year?
A concern about whether Naughty Dog could build another great storyline within this universe never even crossed my mind.
You start getting commendations at rank 3 for any of the factions, or Vanguard/Crucible if you don't choose a faction.
I wanted those Dead Orbit shaders so I went with them on 2 of my characters. 40 some odd ranks later between the 2 and still no Revenant! That's definitely more rare than the Gjallarhorn or Thunderlord.
It definitely seemed like they wanted to make the "release window" so the game was pretty barebones outside of the main story missions.
Would love to see what they could do now that the engine is in place.
The evil neon powers lead to some ridiculously awesome scenarios.
The way enemies would "pop" after the head shot...and then the area of effect explosion would dynamically catch nearby enemies and cause a chain reaction of explosions with debris flying around. Just looked incredible visually.
Wait...there's no aim down sights at all?
That's shocking if true, considering the team behind it. Odd decision.
Driveclub is pretty awesome now, honestly.
It's launch was a disaster but it's gameplay is pure now.
I only hop on Destiny for some PVP a few times a week now, but back when I was playing consistently I was leveling Dead Orbit.
Pretty sure I have something like 40 Crucible commendations. Glad they'll actually have some value with HoW.
Doesn't most of the old PGR dev team work for Evolution now? So that would be Driveclub.
I'll take Forza over PC, personally.
For what it's worth I much prefer Driveclub's gameplay too. But that's just my personal preference.
I know they're going for a more sim style racer, but something about the controls just felt off. Forza is sim as well and I much prefer the overall "feel" of the cars in that game compared to PC.
Disagree. The reflections in Project Cars don't look quite as natural, ditto the lighting.
Driveclub's dynamic daylight cycles really lead to some spectacular looking scenes. The lighting also appears "softer" for lack of a better term, which gives it a very realistic appearance.
Clickbait gaming sites: "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!"
@rookie_mystic
Have you seen how gamers act?
Integrity and honor...that's hilarious!
You're going to keep waiting then. They don't owe you anything.
If you're a fan of racing games just pick it up. It's an incredible game now with all the free DLC + patches in place.
The facial animations in Second Son were pretty damn stellar. I believe they borrowed some tech from Naughty Dog there, I remember reading something along those lines.
All it really needs is better side missions. I don't really expect a GTA-like world given how quickly players are able to move around it and the need for more verticality.
As much as I loved Second Son (bought the limited edition with the Delsin beanie) the side missions were basically all mini games. Don't get me wrong, the stencil art spray painting with the motion control was cool...but there has to be more.
Better, more varied side missions + tigh...
Not a very sensible comment, Steve.
Don't know about it being in the process of maturing. If anything the amount of whiny, negative, clickbait articles is on the rise.
It's unfortunate, really, but it's all about them clicks.
