Look at the shape in the pictures. Like a axe handle and sort of like a baseball bat. In that both above and below your hand is a wider portion to keep it in place.
"Another View. Quite funny in its delivery. "
Good read.
"Not trying to be a smartass but Reach has bigger environments and can have up to 40 ai and 20 vehicles on screen all at once not to mention it isnt fixed camera"
Not to be a smart ass either.
But RFOM had 40-player on-line with huge maps almost 4 years ago. At PS3 launch. With 720p and 7.1 lossless sound.
"720p games on bith systems are almost the same"
Um. No.
"When these consoles can run 5% of games at 1080p@60fps"
But with hundreds of games that 5% is plenty.
Maybe if PC's would have adopted HDMI as a standard the PC would have had a chance in the living room before consoles took it over.
They blew it by focusing on all those stupid OMG 4000 x 8000 that 1% of the population actually had the money to buy. S...
Best counterpoints I've seen so far..
"Holier-than-thou, an adjective, meaning "marked by an air of superior piety or morality". Everybody has moments in their life where they get into a "holier-than-thou" attitude, and I think Steve Jobs' open letter regarding Adobe, and Flash in particular, really fits the bill. There are three specific points I want to address to illustrate just how holier-than-thou, hypocritical, and misleading this letter really is.&...
PSN has cross game chat.
It also has 6-way video chat.
"Standalone Blu Ray players also receive firmware updates."
Samsung owners big to differ.:) Sony and Panny are pretty good.
However the only 2D Blu-ray player getting a 3D firmware upgrade 3 1/2 years after release is the PS3.
Future proofed beyond any other BD player and most technology.
With the slim all but silent compared to the original phat the analog outs are the only reason I can in good conscience recommend a standalone ...
I can see your point.
The flip side is there are probably Wii owners that feel let down the Wii mote didn't deliver everything they thought it would in terms of accuracy and precision etc. Also if they want to upgrade to HD this is now an avenue for them.
I think your being a bit sensitive on this one.
Well I'll likely be using it for Socom 4 on day one. I think it will give the more casual players amongst us a better chance than using our thumbs on sticks.
Looking forward to it personally.
Bobby doesn't care. He got his $20 million bonus for destroying a studio.
That's America.
Incompetent execs taking all the money that other people produced.
Hope the jury doubles the damages and awards them a billion.
Avatar was crap. Just further proves how big an appetite there is for 3D
" to turn around you have to move the cursor to the edge of the screen. which means you cant accurately move and shoot at the same time"
The cursor to the side of the screen and turning is something that happens automatically if you go off screen but is not the only way to turn around. I believe the other Navigation controller allows turning as well.
That's what I got from the different bits I've seen anyway.
It gets even more interesting when you have stereoscopic 3D games with a 3D controller. Then you will have full 3D immersion. Both physically and visually.
That's why Move only takes a fraction of the PS3 processing and memory.
It won't impact them delivering high quality 3D games in conjunction with Move.
"Let's see, in the past months there have been at least a half dozen movies"
You said many not 6. Quite a difference.
"playing in select theaters in 3D ... can you say Avatar?"
Yep that's one not many.
"To name the single most prominent movie to play in 3D. Do a google search, you'll be surprised at how many movies have been shown in theaters in 3D."
Why don't you tell me how many are really in 3D a...
Yep. This site just moved to my ignore list for all time.
Kotaku. Edge. Add another bunch of liars to the list.
"I've watched many movies in 3D".
Really. Do tell.
Since stereoscopic 3D is just hitting the market, there is very little content on disc or in the theater and you admitted you aren't sold and therefore wouldn't have a 3D TV. Even if the content did exist.
Now if you had said you will have to wait and see you would be believable.
"Sony said HDMI 1.3 was good enough. Now that it appears not to be, Sony is patching it in free of charge".
They can do that because 1.3 and 1.4 bandwidth is the same.
They just need a firmware update and the Cell will do the 3D frame packing present in the newer 1.4 chipset.
Native 3D games will intersect with Move for even more immersion.
Natal? Another reason they don't want to talk about 3D.
Remember when MS said component was good enough? Purchase 1
And then they said HDMI 1.2 was good enough? Purchase 2 (Elite but not really)
Well what they didn't tell you was good enough meant no native 3D with a forthcoming industry standard.
Coming soon to the "faithful" a SuperDuperElite 360 for purchase 3. Also known as we really aren't lying to you for a 3rd time on this issue.
Of course you will see article after article abou...
"But it also comes with a hefty price tag as most 3D enabled TV’s cost three times the amount of a normal plasma or LCD of today."
3 times. Hogwash. Absolute hogwash. Article should be trashed for that bull alone.
