"Just keep grouping all the countries together until you have something that beats the US in market share."
No need to. That's how the mfgs break out their regions because they care about more than just the U.S.
If it makes you feel better you can just keep grouping countries like Canada and Mexico together until you have something that beats Asia or Europe.
But don't worry pretty soon N.A will be even further behind than it already is as C...
1.3 has enough bandwidth but the frame packing hadn't been implemented at that point. The PS3 will do the frame packing using the 1.4 protocols over 1.3. So it will allow 3D.
360 is HDMI 1.2 and doesn't even have the bandwidth so no sense it the 360 handling the frame packing to start with. Faked 3D is it. Or every game mfg writing special code for every TV out there. IOW ain't gonna happen.
"tell me which are dude"
Check the link the other poster already provided. Do your own work if your interested.
It clearly labels which are 1920x1080 and which are ?? x 1080.
"most of those games in 1080p aren't even true 1080p. "
75% of them are 1920 x 1080. So your wrong. Most of them are true 1080p
"GTA4, Tekken 6, Street Fighter 4, Ghostbusters, MGS4, Tales of Vesperia,
Haze, Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty 4, and many more games to mention RUN in sub HD on the PS3."
MGS4 does not run sub HD.
The rest are MP except Haze which was clearly a company in difficulty. I'm pretty sure the PC world is filled with different tiers of game quality as well.
The actual sub HD games account for 20% of all PS3 games and they are pretty well all 3...
"both machines have hd and sub hd games"
Agree they do.
I think the point others were making was regards to the headline. MP have not been holding the 360 back. Exclusives after 4+ years haven't been doing much if any better than them. I think we can both agree that hasn't been the case with the PS3. Your statements kind of muddy THAT water even if that wasn't your intent. Which I don't believe it was given your acknowledgement of KZ2 etc..

"You're completely missing the point, they wouldn't be able to watch 3D."
No I'm not. People that DIE from eating peanut butter can't eat peanut butter. That's life. And dying is much worse than a seizure. Please try understanding my responses before claiming I"M missing the point.
2D will be here for at least decades so for you to crap over 3D out of your concern for .0000000000001% of the population that have alternatives is a ridiculous argument. ...
if you scroll down a bit you will find a list of 360 and PS3 games and their native resolutions.
as you can see both consoles have games that are HD and sub HD
if you dont trust the list then get off your lazy ass and do some investigating, but please stop throwing around the same old cliches."
I have :)
PS3 has 40+ 1080p...
"The bad thing with most 3D though is most people with history of seizures or epilepsy can't see them at all"
So the other 99.9% of the population shouldn't have it? No. That kind of thinking is just plain wrong. Millions of people are color blind and the rest of us still get to enjoy colour tv or peanut butter sandwiches for that matter.
"and they're pushing for it in everything all at once which is a bad move, not everyone can afford it all at once, ...
" Yeah right, until Forza 3 launched and they realized they needed to go back to the drawing board."
GT4 on the PS2 from 2005. 1920 x 1080i. PS2.

Higher resolution than Forza 3 on 360. Gotta love how MS pushes those boundaries 5 years later with "next" gen hardware. LOL.
5 years later and still beat by a PS2 game for conte...
Asia is the largest market, Europe is now the second largest market and U.S. is third. Happened a few years ago.

They aren't talking about it because they aren't getting into this whole 3D thing with the 360. The gimped hardware of component, HDMI 1.2 they claimed were more than good enough is the reason in case your wondering. Also the EDRAM cache was a cost cutting measure instead of using high speed components in the rest of the system.
"So what does it take to get real 3D that does not give you a headache? Well, having tried LCD shutter glasses running at frame rates above 60fps, I...
Just like real life. We live and breath in 3D. 2D is a compromise.
Just like black and white TV was a compromise. And for the same reason 3D will eventually be the biggest thing since colour. It closes the gap and brings us closer to how we perceive the world. People love that for some funny reason.
It's like HD sports X 10 in terms of immersion.
How many people given the option want to go back to watching football in SD vs HD? Zero.
It w...
Last time I looked Games are on Blu-ray and it is getting a summer update for them.
Better headline would be something like
PS3 will get 3D Movie update later in the year.
"with all BUT the highest end PC's." Read it again so the next time you actually understand what I said before you respond.
And if you want to show me something equivalent to GOW3 in terms of the number of animations, PER object motion blur, depth of field effects, 7.1 audio mixing using the CPU not sound card assistance, number of polygons (characters and environments), the procedural texturing, HDR lighting on the same SCALE and is capable of doing it all in a SINGL...
Yeah I went into my local BB and was pretty impressed. They had Monsters and Aliens playing. Something I had already seen in 2D. I wasn't expecting the immersion to be that striking especially standing in BB.
It was.
Kept flipping back and forth and the desire to go back to 3D was quite imperative. Good news for this technology I think. Average Joe WILL want this once they try it. Instead of buying that 50" 2D HDTV they will buy a 46" 3D TV instead. Bank...
PS3 is way ahead on graphics, physics, HD 7.1 audio and putting them all together at the same time.
Memory that runs 4.5x as fast as the 360 is just one of the reasons it competes with all but the highest end PC's.
There are reasons the Cell DESTROYS those high and mighty PC based machines for things like Folding@Home. Fact is it's number crunching leaves them in the dust.
Now waits while all the PC fanboys claim physics and graphics aren't based on n...
Welcome to last generation for the last 4 years.
Component for millions of users (xbox)
DVD (xbox but less storage and more disc scratching)
DVD movies (xbox)
5.1 lossy sound (xbox)
No built-in wifi (just like xbox)
No standard HDD (less than xbox)
RROD (an order of magnitude and more worse than xbox)
At least you will be able to enjoy stereoscopic 3D on the new 3D standard T.V.'s.
Oh wait.
Just like an...
Have gone from FF to Chrome recently. It simply rocks. I've had up to 70 or 80+tabs open and it keeps running fine. FF would have killed my machine long before that.
Also the latest browser hackathon where 10,000 in rewards was up for grabs I think they gave up trying to hack Chrome on the first day. All the other browsers fell.
Only thing I don't like is too many extensions want access to your private data. I only install extensions from google at this point.
"the obsession becomes an annoyance to others"
Kind of describes those disagreeing for absolutely no reason. :)
But at least KY's pursuit is a worthwhile one.
It's certainly why he produces best of breed products while so many others are willing to let dreck go out the door.
