Yep, the One supports 4K, doesn't mean it will happen in anything other than a game like Super Stardust or Angry Birds. A GTX Titan chokes at 4K and that thing is nearly four times more powerful than what is in the One. I know consoles can punch above their weight, but they won't be swinging into the 4K division this generation.
I have no idea why people think we'll see 4K games on either of these consoles. And technially, all MS has said is that the resolution is supported, it doesn't mean it will actually happen. PS3 and 360 both supported 1080P60, but - outside of very simple idie titles- that never came to fruition.
Gman-
Yeah, Sony builds some real bad hardware. That must be why the lists of best HDTVs every year always features Sony products. The PS3 destroyed the 360 in terms of hardware reliability and, as you mentioned, the Xperia line has come on strong. And the PS4 is the most powerful console at the moment, yet somehow is smaller than its direct competition without resorting to using an abomination of a power brick.
But hey, at least you can count on MS. At least they continued t...
Actually, everything I said about services is true. As far as the superiority of exclusives goes, that only matters if you actually like those games or the genres themselves.
A laptop these days can actually do much more than consoles, don't know why you felt the need to bring that up. Mobile devices can do many of the things you mentioned, the exception being the ability to connect your phone to your cable box. However, you can perform a wireless transmission from phone to smar...
You can't tell but I responded by giving you a slow clap and a bubble.
Actually, apart from cable television, PS4 lets you do all of those. And the only one Sony charges you for is online play, but even that isn't strictly true, since F2P games like Planetside 2 won't require a PS+ subscription.
You can call the One a media hub all you want, but the statement won't hold any water until MS stops forcing people to pay a monthly fee for the privilege of running their cable box through the One. Oh, and that Netflix subscription you're already...
PS+ is one subscription that allows you to play online. Netflix, game recording and F2P games (even multiplayer) don't require any payment. This is nothing like what MS is doing.
You don't. But, you also don't charge someone to use something they're already paying for. Especially when neither of your competitors is doing it. It's people like you that constantly make excuses that will end up giving Sony and Nintendo the idea to follow Microsoft's lead by grabbing their customers by the feet, hanging them upside down and then shaking every last penny from their pockets.

XboxFun- I'm still looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V. Gonna play the hell out of it on my PS4. Doesn't bother me one bit if someone else gets to play it on a different console.
Gster- You do realize that, once devs have these new machines figured out, that they can actually start adding new gameplay elements instead of just focusing on graphics, right? People like you make me want to consider another hobby.
Hidden- "Even though I like Kojima he was motivated by greed...I personally don't condone that kind of behavior."
What don't you condone, a business man treating his livelihood like a business? Grow up.
"dont see why anyone would pay more for xbox when its the weaker system that can unleash the full potential of gaming like the ps4 can."
I going to ignore your tenuous grasp of the English language and point out that Xbone buyers chose their console for the same reason I chose a PS4: games. There are games that only Xbox provides that some people don't want to go without. It's powerful enough to provide great gaming experiences, that's all that matters. ...
My only PC hardware is a laptop equipped with an i7 and integrated GPU. Needless to say, I don't get much gaming done on this thing. Are there any console games you can think of that would compare? From the videos it looks like some of the guns have recoil similar to Halo, but without as much bullet spread. I'm speaking completely out of ignorance here, as I'm not an Xbox gamer so my experience of these two games is limited to videos and the occasional game with friends, respectiv...
I have my PS4 pre-ordered. Having said that, people like you should be neutered. Funny that you mention intellect in your second post, as it seems to be the very thing for which you are lacking entirely.
The same competition exists among PC developers, they don't get to just "rest on their laurels". If anything, PC devs have it harder since, not only are they constantly feeling their way through the forefront of technology, they also have to account for the ridiculous number of configurations that are possible.
"while the raw power of modern hardware does the rest by itself." Not even close to being true.
They already said it's mul...
I've watched a number of videos of PS2, but it's difficult to get an idea of the feel of a game unless you actually get your hands on it. In regard to how it handles, what would you compare it to?
"Just as the PS4 has 8GB of high-speed memory that is shared by the CPU and GPU, the Xbox One, by virtue of being based on the same APU heterogeneous system architecture (HSA), will probably be the same. In short, while there are small hardware differences between the consoles, they will ultimately have very similar performance characteristics. The PS4, with its one, big block of fast RAM, and bigger GPU, probably has the edge."

Midny-
You could make the argument that the people watching Youtube clips of unreleased games are what you might call enthusiasts and as such, should know what the development process entails. It then stands to reason that these same people should stop whining and just enjoy the footage with the understanding that it's running on unfinished code.
It obviously isn't 8, genius.
