It's a tough position for Vita really.
For some people, the $250 price tag is holding them from purchasing a Vita.
Especially when you can buy a 160gb PS3 for the same price right now. And $50 more gets you a 320gb PS3.
And if rumors are true about a cheaper Super Slim PS3 on the way, Vita is going to need a price drop or some seriously killer apps (like FF:CC or the GoW games were to the PSP, or Gaikai streamed games) to compete for game...

Look at how horribly FFXIV was optimized. Some hardcore fans of FFXI that wanted to make the jump couldn't even play it.

Uh the modders in this case are trying to preserve immersion. FFVI is perfect because of the consistent character look throughout.
But even back then, FFVII's SD characters to normal character transitions were jarring to some of us.
And where did u get forcing today's standards on older games from? Just one game later, FFVIII kept the same character design throughout the game to maintain the feel and immersion. The modders are just doing what Squar...
SE should implement what the mod community already did for the the first FFVII release.
Like replace the super deformed characters with the battle versions (or better yet, the Advent Children versions) when walking around the environments.
It's hard to go back to chubby Cloud jumping off that train at the beginning, after seeing tall, normal Cloud and Barret do it in the mods.

I think a lot of people were expecting Warhawk 2 when Starhawk came out.
LO, Crackdown and Dead Rising were the reasons I bought my 360. Gears 1 and ME1 are my favorite games for the system.
I had a really weak PC, so I went the PS360 route to cover the exclusives I want to play.
What's funny is I also seem to prefer the earlier versions of games most times this gen as someone pointed out above.

I actually wasn't a huge GTA IV fan, but the DLC is fun and better than the main game in my opinion.
I'm one of those that didn't like GTA IV's more serious tone, but the game is definitely still relevant.
I recently played FFXI again
No Dunes party needed any more with FoV and especially GoV.
I went from low teens to high 40's in a single night doing a level-synched GoV book burn in Gusgen Mines.
And then Abyssea is crazy exp / merits. You really level TOO fast. Like so fast, people don't know how to play their jobs or even use their job abilities at level 99.
Plus they constantly make limit break quests easier.
Yeah. I'm normally a Ratchet and Clank fan, but never got R&C All for One due to a huge backlog of games and I just forgot about it eventually.
I'm having a lot of fun with that game now.
I just bought AC:Brotherhood for $15 off psn, but I'm trying to decide whether to play it or one of the free Plus games next.
