@lightofdarkness
really? I could have swore that the Toshiba was only a 60hz tv and the Samsung was a 240hz tv....
check it out vs other 240 hz tvs for price rather then a dirt poor base model
lets create creative ways to fight person myself.
I would love to see hand/arm shots leg/hip shots... shots that don't necessarily kill but hinder the enemy in such a way that they are less effective...
an Arm shot means that they are reduced to single handed guns and those swing 40degrees a second up down and around randomly... a leg shot reduces their speed and makes it so that they can only shot while laying down.
a Head shot is not an instant kill but more of a...
"Those disappointed by the news shouldn’t be too disheartened as Evans hinted that they may seek to implement it further down the line."
yes - they add the latest firmware at time of pressing to new games discs and if the disc does not detect the proper firmware it will at that point try to install. If it can't it will not play.
yep key revocation is definitely the word of the day.
Yes - it has been done before (see UT)
keyboard Mouse support is integrated into the PS3 OS and can be easily attached by the developer.
@rockleex
you do know that the PS3 supports Keyboard and Mouse right?
UT and other games use it.
Now it's crap... SWG was a great Starwars game - then the edits came... and came ... and the hits kept on coming..... eventually we had a WOW clone without the fun dressed in Starwars clothes without the feel.
true but you could punch them in the face.... which tends to breed a certain level of respect.

be aware that the PS3 does not support checkboard 3d format which is what the DLPs use. Checkboard 3d is also a 1/2 resolution spec vs the over under framepack used by the PS and Blu-ray players
*missing the ir sync beacon on the tv
*120 hz internal refresh rate not 120hz input which is required
*requires shutter glasses (rather then circular polarized lens like the theater used)
----------------
(of course this assumes you don`t have a DLP made by samsung or mitsubishi and you didn`t steal glasses from an Xpand bases cinema (they use shutter glasses but have all kinds of security on them))
purely random as far as the people who reported them know.
as far as I know SCEA has known about this situation for quite a while. It's not the end of the world and Insomniac still has a special place on the Sony Team :) (wait for announcement of new IP specific for the PS3 yet this year (not E3))
Glasses-less 3d does work... to a point - you have a VERY limited viewing angle (so one person can ~ use it). That is why TVs are using the glasses - they give full 178degree viewing angles and more people can enjoy it.
the only way to get full 178 or more viewing angle without glasses is to create a 3D tank environment such as a laser plasma display... which are about 10-15 years out yet...
you go to the theater and wear glasses - why complain about it at home.
Something we have never seen before.
I notice all these lists are just sequels to previous stuff...
Sure I like em but would it not be nice to be surprised by cool new things once and a while?
The making of sequels actually eats up development money that could be used to create new IPs - a good mix would be nice rather then all sequels.
expanding your cluster just got that much harder and replacing system losses to failure also got harder.
PS3 is still cheaper on a per MIP basis then Blades
update is not the issue if you read the article
it's to do with enlarging the cluster and replacing systems that have failed in the cluster...
They were blind and bound in a box and not paying attention to what is really up.
bit unfair to say PS3 Hater... I would say
"Speak out against 3d and your Gamer hater"
as the Xbox 360 has been demonstrated to do 3D as well.
