1 - SONY DOES NOT PAY FOR EXCLUSIVE CONTENT, it's been said many times before but obviously some people don't listen to us...
What Sony will pay for is ownership of a studio or IP
The extra content is more bait to get people to buy it for another console after it has been out for other platforms for a while.
maybe true but I don't think so... You do have a point in that it is harder as I can think of one case (breadth first search) where cell code took 1200 lines to do what a standard hyper threaded processor could be coded to do in under 60 but the speed of the code at run time on the cell was literally 20x that of the the HT processor. So... It did take longer to develop but are the gains worth it as a developer? I would think so - as learning to properly parallel program is a "future&...
@theKiller
1st) what does this have to do with the topic of Catherine?
2nd)
Because many feel that our holy books need no defense from those who don't follow it. If someone wants to damage it - so be it, If they want to read it go ahead.
We don't feel a need to force others to believe or respect that which we do. We just ask that peace be the goal of interactions.
Just as with any group there are extremists that...
LATENCY
Unless they have servers in most cities of the world and the distances are under 100km from each to everyone of their subscribers it will never work. Latency grows to fast in relation to range.
on Bethesda doing Infinity: the Quest for Earth
they tend to make the place seem huge by hand placing events etc into small areas... Their expertise is in a different area then Infinity would require.
actually Jack
TDK is the majority Patent holder on Bluray
gah stop the stupidity here... Sony only a gets a tiny of royalties if it isn't one of their movies. CHECK IT OUT... TDK is base patent owner! Sony was only 1 of 18 manufacturers that agreed to the development of the Bluray player and co-owns some of the patents.
actually TDK would be the benefactor from any royalties... why do people persist in believing that Sony has all the patents on Blu-ray. TDK has the most but it is shared across many groups.
Blu-ray DiscTM patent owners: CyberLink Corporation; Dell Inc.; Hewlett-Packard Company; Hitachi Ltd.; Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.; LG Electronics Inc.; Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Panasonic); Mitsubishi Electric Corporation; Pioneer Corporation; Samsung Electronic...
and see.. yes this is not a fake unless something like 5000 people at the conference just shared a delusion about seeing it.
and if you read my history and profile you might not expect this from me, I have seen Kinetic work great in some situations. In a nice controlled environment it tends to work very well and has potential to be a great. I think we should file this tech as a future star (nexGen) and with a bit of tweaking and a better feedback system then just gestures it could be superstar. I tend to feel (and actually since I work with it ... know) that the Move will be the better motion controller for the cur...
and yet it's there still...
give me discs and give me freedom from nanny and I am happy :)
but for a vastly different reason
the fact that they take away control of my game from me... why should I have to be on an authentication server to play a game? I like hardcopy and I don't see the need to be forced to hook up to another service to play I game I have.
pretty old tech.. the XFPS rateup has been floating around for years. It has about as much effect as those who use the FragFX etc in games...

I think that the move might be a bigger change for accuracy and speed then a mouse keyboard adapter.
The Eagle Eye might have one thing going for it.. it`s macro functionality which would be ban...
"Why in the hell would we support the developers of the games when we could just as easily support the developers of nice things such as this little toy and save money.
(and where would the games come from if the developers are not supported)
Out of every 1 pirate there is probably 5 legit people that buy the damn games so dont tell me that we kill the damn industry because we aren’t willing to spend a ridiculous amount of money on something that cost all o...
two solutions - you can buy a bigger HDD and have the ps3 fix itself when you install the new drive (just plug it in and away you go ) or
* take out the hard drive
* connect hard drive to pc
* format it with some other data format than fat32
* shut down pc, take out hd
* put hd back in ps3
* boot ps3
* a screen will pop-up saying the hard disk have to be formatted
* hold start + Select for 5 sec....
and the Playstations themselves. They can never be reactived even with new accounts. It's a system and account ban.
So for those of you who buy used - the used market just gained a poison pill.
hmm barely anyone took advantage of the ability to do your "homebrew" applications when the PS3 could have another os... why would they do so now?
The only real purpose of a hack like this is to run pirated games. Try to argue otherwise and I will show you the stats that showed people barely used the Linux option when it was presented for them...
when the market size hits 10% or more of a product then at least a 3rd party manufacture should jump in.
Left handed controllers (13% of the US population), Colour Blindness (~8ish%) corrected games... all have markets
yeah...
what most people don't realize is the number of metrics that Blizzard collects about their games. A perception of inbalance may exist if some players win more then others but the data tells the truth ... if 5% of players are dominating with one species - is it the units or the player that determines the domination?
very typical - it's meant as a user bait. without it an older game may not sell at all on a new platform.
