Nvidia is about to have some serious market share loss....
your looking at the wrong 9800GTX - the one that competes is the 9800GTX+ (with 1 gig and faster processor then the GTX)
The 9800GTX+ is about 200$ more expensive and was overclocked as well.

Nice I finally have found something I can agree with Mart on. Thank you for trying not to troll this time (drop the anti-other console thingy you do and you'll be finally a respected member of the community). Bring the games - forget the rest ^_^

"There are two possibilities. Possibility one is they have a meritorious lawsuit and they’re selling out the class for attorneys' fees.

"The other possibility is that, and frankly I think this is the more likely possibility, they brought a meritless lawsuit that had no business being brought to court at all," he told the paper.

It only applies to compressed data

few things to point out...

1) the x360 and the PS3 has the same increase if using compressed data on the disc 2.3x

2) Compressed data is generally lossy (lossless has a limit to compression) so why compress - if you want best quality don't compress data

3) what level of compression are they using? compression ratios vary and so does the speed at which it is compressed or decompressed. If I make the ...

and yet running 2 of those those £130 they beat the £400 pound card decisively.

hmmm 2 x £130 = £260 vs £400....

if they had run the higher level one then who knows... even bigger spread?

They were comparing Value for $

actually they are complaining since it is using an off card cpu to boost GPU performance. If the physX cpu was on the card then it would not be cheating.

Not nearly as hard to program if you understand multiprocessing as it is made out to be
Unified vs Nonunified ram is an arguement for the ages - let me say one thing... on PCs do you prefer your Video card to use motherboard ram or that it has it's own ram? (and if you could have flexibility to use it either or if you wanted)
As for more expensive? then the stripped down model of the X360 you mean.. if you get the good model they are very similar in price and the x360 has less f...

Good to see that the solved the number 1 issue with the game - learning curve
The X360 release was universally panned for bad game progression due to a insane learning curve.

Yeah... Sony is the only one to use the cell...

if you discount EVERY NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE SUPERCOMPUTER currently hitting the market.

as for the Blu-ray drive - it accesses most data faster then the X360 DVD9 drive. Why not do installs if the inclusion of the HDD is standard on all hardware. DVD9/Blu-ray/new portable medium < speed of local HDD so use it.

different department and goals - SCEI vs SEI
SCEI would not share data with their main competitor on the software side
but in the SEI/Spictures side they would not be sharing but expanding their market.

as above stated (and the hater disagreed with) - meet the MK.2 to get back all unlocks and then Drebin to get usage of drebin points...

(still love the Naked Gun References --- Lt. Frank Drebin - star of the Naked Gun... Kojima has a sick sense of humor on occasion :-p )
