I still think that trophies are idiotic - they create tension where there does not need to be.
I argued against and was overruled. /shrug
How can you say that Achievements and Trophies are a tie when %70 of games are compatible with it but none are guaranteed to support it on PSN. Then you have to go back and replay your games for those trophies to register. With XBL every single game has achievements from retail titles to arcade games.

True enough but for something that wasn't there last week 70% is an amazing number - and going forward eventually all new games will have it.

Disagree if you want but it is true - Sony software development has a much lower error rate per 1000 lines of code then Microsoft does. Care Counts - throwing out a feature because it is made does not mean it is ready for prime time.
Hmmm
they do forget in this article that many games do not allow their saves to be transferred and are account locked. It is actually more rare that the save works then it doesn't
actually Sony software has a lower bug/1000 % then microsoft software....
So Sony makes better quality software as well as better quality hardware.
If Japan is any indication expect 10$ more then the PS2 Platinum editions
so instead of 20$ --> expect to see 30$
Developmental Priorities for the PS3 have been a bit different from what the american audience has desired in the past as the firmware is developed in Japan and so the developers there have used Japanese development priorities. Online is really a nogo/slowgo in Japan so to see that the firmware is reflecting the US preference is actually a major fundamental change in thinking in SCEJ to that of SCEI. Ken started a realignment about online practices before he left and Kaz's continuance of this...

great article - props for post it.
well with the addition of multiple endings based on in game decisions, more characters and storylines for them etc the game is a significant advancement over the version that was previously releasd
As Zero said... we can't understand that it is your TV that is the issue... what version of the bravia do you have? You should not be experiencing that if you have the XBR series.
The info can help you link to a mac - you just need to set the right extensions up ^_-

The more I hear of this game ... the MORE I WANT IT!
the bugs ... lol I love this response:
"Q: What's the weirdest bug you've found?
A: Most bugs are just simply annoying to one degree or another, but every now and then something spectacularly unexpected happens. Case in point: There's one power we have that sends a ball of energy out to damage your opponents. You don't need to target them, because the ball will travel to the nearest foe. However, there...
"I recalled the original PS3 launch-day hardware problems and inferior online experience and thought that it was prudent to wait for the kinks to be ironed out."
my question is - what launch hardware issue? I have 3 of em and they all work as well as the day they where bought and I suspect that 99.9% of others who have launch day PS3s would say the same.
I will grant him that PSN didn't launch with as many features as XLive but it has progressively evolved at an am...
.01% will love it - and when it comes down to it - it is great information. Who cares if 99% can't use the info. This is a great article done by IBM for those who use their PS3s as High Performance Computing Research Platforms. And it is appreciated that IBM has been putting the time in to create these tutorials.
You do realize those are PS3 screenshots right?
Not nearly as useful as they make it out to sound
1) all developers know data ordering contributes to load times
2) compression - allows a false sense of faster access (data density is higher) but it you want uncompressed non lossy data this does not help (AKA: Most textures and audio on the PS3)
1 not and 10 yes
then about a 4
If Alex is smart he would never admit to being the creator of hacks on PS hardware. Sony has a 100 million dollar lawsuit waiting for him.
