"but the game doesn't deserve *THAT* score."
Exactly, the site now lost ALL credibility with me now and in the future. That score reeks of immaturity to me.
I'm sure you know that there are many games the pc doesn't have that you can only find on consoles, right? How is the pc going to give me better graphics on Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption, Killzone, Resistance, GT, GOW, etc? It can't cause they're not on pc. So until then we have to wish and wait for console tech to get better and for devs to utilize resources to the fullest.
Magical race indeed. How can there be a race if the competitors don't start at the same time?
Or an arrow to the knee.
While kinect is not for me I do see that it has it's audience. But I gotta say that somewhere this gen many gamers have gotten spoiled and lost their sense of imagination. If every game isn't perfect and doesn't have uber realistic graphics they shun it and berate it. Smh...
@slipperymoosecakes, you know another game that only sold 100,000 in Japan? Uncharted 2 and 3. I guess those games had a "rough" time selling too eh? It's only Japan, quit the doom and gloom until a few months after worldwide release.
I don't think of COD as much of a fad as I do the whole fps genre. When COD 4 came out I spent countless hours playing it. I also spent many hours on KZ2 and COD: WaW. Now, every shooter seems like the same thing and not just the COD franchise. I've been pretty much done with online shooters for a while now, just focusing on great single player games. That's just me though, ymmv.
It's free though so how can you complain?
The combat system was improved, but the character movement was a downgrade imo. Drake's arms were always flailing everywhere which was annoying and made him seem a bit feminine. It also got predictable that every time Drake grabbed a ledge he would almost fall.
The 3DS was advertised heavily in the states, so far I have not seen a single Vita ad. Again, Sony fails to market their products. Some Super Bowl ads would be awesome btw.
And money lost on every single one, so what's your point again?
Also, with the WiiU they will probably be upside down on those as well, so Nintendo is doomed for the foreseeable future. They should just go the way of Sega and just make games for MS, Sony and pc.
Since when are there PSN point cards? Hmm, must have missed that memo.
He is right about discounted and free point cards though. There is always a way to get more MS points than what you pay for.
People never hated the points, it was only the uneven conversion from points to dollars. If $2 = 200 points everything would be ok.
You do realize EA asks your permission as well don't you? It's all in the TOS.
@Gametavern, I don't think being "down" or happy over video game sales are good attitudes to have in life. People shouldn't let such silly things affect them.
I don't want speculation, I want facts...
@Logic, I agree, which is why whoever releases first with the next gen titles like COD, BF, Madden, etc will likely take the bigger chunk of the core audience. MS knows this, and if Sony didn't learn their lesson from this gen shame on them. Release date and pricing will determine the victor.
Same here, I rent and buy used the majority of games I play, which is a lot. Of course I buy new when I can which is about 3-4 games per year, not including PSN purchases.
I don't know how it would work, unless every new game came with a pass, but I'd definitely skip the new gen if that happened.
What about The Last Of Us do you see as horror? TLoU is survival but not horror.
@vortis, "spelt" is correct. Look it up before you make yourself look dumb.
Best generation of games.
Worst generation of gamers.
More sissies, elitists and crybabies than ever before, it's disgusting at times.
