I understand why u say sadly, but they r definitely important because of the immersion effect. Also, it allows for some brilliant art styles. For example, mcfarlane did KoA and many of his ideas were scaled back and some not enough for consoles today. Maybe, project Copernicus would have been able to highlight his art better on over tech, but even then it is scaled back because of the general masses and their average settings.

On the flip side, it is abused because it sells....

U know, add kingdoms, and I thought it would happen to me too. But for some reason, it was refreshing. I think it's because it is different than those games in certain ways. Actually, maybe it's because it is a little of all those. All I know is there's something about the lack of level scaling, the high level cap, the pawn system, the night cycle, large creatures, lack of instant travel, end game content, and the class system that made me fall in love with it.

They are getting out when the getting out is good. It's always so hard to tell if it's a company or if these legends just couldn't evolve with the industry. He worked on 11 & 14 & got good reviews for knew and not the other. Times are changing and I just wonder if sometimes the kings of industry remain stuck in their ways sometimes. I think of an office with the old man who built the company from the ground up but now it is struggling. The young man has great ideas but is ...

I remember that me and all my friends played it all the time. It was awesome. I thought they had something special. The problem is two fold. Either they don't change things that need changing or they change things that should remain. It's the problem with the sp games too as well as so many others. It's an art to find that fine line of predicting the market.

Yeah, dung on a religious figure is supposedly art. I never cared for his movie reviews much less his opinion on video games. I was a gene siskel man myself... RIP.

I doubt it will b an iPad killer right now. IPad 3 has retina display and the 50 gazillion (That's a researched accurate number as of this morning) ppl who own an iPhone will not switch or buy the surface.

With that being said, this is an awesome product and a step in the right direction. Now, u can say they are late to the party but remember Microsoft's motto, "we will steal ur idea, make it great and then put u out of business with it." See dos, windows, i...

I wanted to immediately say mass effect 2 because it took a great selling game and made it a huge selling game and goty but as an RPG fan I will always wonder how good the series could have been had it been a true RPG throughout. That being said, I am surprised by it's omission.

Now, the title should be sequels that were better than the 1st. I thought of Bioshock 2 because in my opinion, while it wasn't the industry changer that the 1st was, it was improved in every...

Is Nintendo having a hard time with forward thinking? I am having a hard time seeing a way in which Microsoft and Sony don't bury Nintendo next Gen. Microsoft may win the mobile war without producing a device...ie. smartglass. Though I must say that the windows 8, Xbox 720, Surface Pro, and Windows phone connection looks pretty astounding right now. Imagine the possibilities with seemless integration like apple but including a next Gen console.

Sony is beginning to harnes...

It's one quest that is part of a 10 quest series. The other is equipment for beginners. The game is great though. I'm having a blast.

It isn't the Co op that bothers me but the move away from survival horror. U can include a Co op mode without destroying this issue. But they are moving away from it to a 3rd person action title to create a larger audience. It may backfire. The competition is great right now and they should have stuck to their niche genre. Instead of standing out & awarding their fanbase, they claim they wouldn't even b able to make the game unless it sells 5 million. THEN....don't make it! T...

For me, the platinum trophy is the most addictive award in gaming. On Xbox I do not feel the pressure to get every achievement, more so simply to add to my gamerscore. On ps3, though, it's all about platinum. I have gone to some crazy lengths to get it. That being said, this year changed everything. I just cannot keep up. Rohan r my choice and it's either play as many great games as possible or spend countless hours chasing platinum trophies. Yeah, I like to get 1000 but it can b done...

My only comment is "$1000 on virtual items?" Damn!!!!

Yeah, most games would never attempt this because, to them, it would mean less sales. Personally, I think its better to draw a real, faithful, hardcore fan base that really loves the game.

I agree. Its too bad that they choose streamlining over rewarding hardcore RPG players. I mean, when will blizzard and bioware and others realize that is RPG fans are ecstatic over a game, it will sell well. If u r worried about the broader audience, maybe an option can be added to help streamline the experience for them. There are a few dungeon crawlers coming out soon and torchlight 2 looks to impress.

I would have loved to have been at the meeting that determined the cour...

Who gets $ from auction houses, blizzard or gamers? Is there a bit of every transaction that they get? If they were smart, they would do it in smaller increments. But, yeah, I agree, that is rediculous because it seriously affects game play. We will find one day that many of the sellers on there are blizzard employees, lol. Are there already?

How fine will it be in November 2013 if next Gen consoles release? It has tizzies same head start the 360 had on ps3...the difference being that the 360 was basically as powerful as its competition. Why didn't Nintendo take the chance to jump ahead and do to Microsoft and Sony what was done to Microsoft last Gen. People are jonesing for next Gen consoles. It would a been a coup. Everyone would a jumped ship...at least for the time being.

I just think its impossible for N...

Yeah. I don't get it. If they can survive on their own titles, then they will b fine. Many hardcore gamers and gamers with kids will grab it. For me, when the wiiu goes on sale, how much info do I have on next Gen consoles? If I know their specs and price, I will wait. But, if I do want a shiny new toy that may release some games that are a bit prettier than this Gen I will....buy a PC. Good luck Nintendo!

Yes and I really don't understand what he is saying. Maybe he is too smart for me. He is assuming that no one except him will work on anything but halo and CoD next Gen. And what's wrong with better games. That Xbox memo mentioned possible AR. Sony has already built TVs that show multiple full screen shots, blue ray, and AR glasses. VR has been worked on for years with serious health drawbacks.

Why does he assume that bigger and better consoles will not be used to ev...

Fable:Journey is the reasoning along with BO2? Why can't next Gen continue innovation? It can. It is time despite some of the great games that r coming, including all that Sony and ubisoft have going on. It is time.

This is like asking do u like longer movies or shorter movies, longer books or shorter books? It isn't about length, its about quality. I am sure we will bitch enough that congress will get involved and force every developer to label the game with production costs so we can determine whether or not its worth it.

Yeah, I gravitate towards longer games because I love rpgs. Many ppl prefer games w short campaigns and online because they love FPS multi player. But i also play...
