I agree too. It is a true rpg. Finally I can level in an area, get strong, move on, come back and kick a$%. I don't have to worry about my world scaling with me making my leveling simply an exercise in getting new stuff. I love the party and the pawn system. Its a great feeling to go to an inn and see that someone has taken ur pawn out for awhile.
All in all, I'm loving it. Unfortunately, its summer & now I work 50 hours a week. I guess this fun will last awhile....
I agree. I'm very happy at AC3 right now. They look to have done a great job evolving it at just the right time.
Now comes the problem. Expect next year to be a rehash of AC3. This may b OK if its really good. But then, another rehash while they work on 4?
Well, I guess its still better than a lot of games. And now that I think of it, they will only b allowed 1 rehash before next Gen. I guess I can't get too mad. Ubiaoft is making money and working ...
Sounds refreshing though I don't have a windows phone lol. Anyway, even if it isn't perfect, it could set the stage for more interesting and unique ways to experience online. I am playing dragons dogma and I love their pawn system. I love creating a pawn knowing others will b taking them out on their journey. I often rest at the inn to c if my pawn has been out fighting for someone else. I don't even care what they bring home (though its nice to get rewards). I just love knowing s...
It figures and I must admit that I kinda understand where he is coming from (in the right context). Unfortunately, a company needs a CoD, a battlefield, an assassins creed etc. to be an anchor and provide revenue for other IPs. But, it isn't saints row. And while I liked saints row, it will never be THE game the way it currently is. If he was hoping that it was going to be, then from that perspective I can understand because it is an awesome game. I also think its too late to change it wi...
Uncharted has tried to be realistic and immersive, & it is. And then combat begins. I know its Indians Jones and he can climb crazy trains and planes but could Harrison get shot 75 times and be fine with no real good explanation. It takes u out of ur element. The last of us looks to remedy this a bit.
Yeah, its violent but only because its finally showing consequences to already established combat. We have killed at will for years in games. Now, instead of feeling like a ...
You may be a journalist, & I am jealous because it would be my waking dream to write for a living, but u r stating obvious facts. CoD will also outsell every other game this year. But, just as Battlefield 3 has begun to chip away at CoD's numbers, & WoW is beginning to see some real competition, games like torchlight 2 are invaluable. Their initial imperitive isn't profit. Yes, they would love to be profitable but because their numbers aren't carved in stone prior to launc...
No absolution from these nuns. Just more sins to bury, lol. Great trailer!! No one actually thinks they r nuns right? I guess Catholicism and eastern orthodox r big over there but my gosh, this is kids play compared to the many inquisitions etc.
I agree and I believe that with this and beyond, games are proving to be on par with movies. A new star wars trilogy can b done through games. And on and on. And Uncharted and mass effect have proven that some of the best adventures and memorable worlds so not exist only in cinema. Many were disappointed with E3. Not me. The future looks good.
Its about damn time they used the cinematic aspect of the movies to develop a great game. It just makes sense. Maybe, like j. Cameron they have had this idea but not the tech to do it justice.
Basically with this and beyond, I am wondering if games become as big as movies, garnering AAA actors to create interactive movies. Why not do a new star wars trilogy that is canon. It can b done now.
Bulls#$%...If u r Sony or Microsoft and u end with a trailer for a next Gen launch title...u will win E3, stocks will rise and everyone will be talking about u and the game. Now, just make sure its an IP that u r well into production with and is going to b a reality.
It would a been easier if they had simply shown the UI, the button prompts etc...unless they are not any
Wow. That would kick ass and be crazy immersive. I mean, u don't have to be reminded what to press and in a game like this, if u r shot up close u die. If u r slow and bleeding, u r close to death. It would way better to have nothing on scree and to work it out based on situation and feel. Oh, I hope they do this.
Don't worry. I believe based on games being released that the 720 will be next winter and the ps4 the following winter. It will be fine this time though because its about games. They just can't afford to allow a CoD release on the 720 which I don't think will happen.
What they do have is many great games coming. This will keep people playing the ps3. Hardcore gamers may go get the new 720 just to have it but...Anyway, I hate to say this but it may benefit them not...
Yeah...its called Ascend: New Gods. It even uses the new GoW title and maybe the "new" is a reference to its attempt to replace kratos...lol. Not gonna happen. The new demo is damn good.
U think its an accident its called Ascend new gods. It does look pretty cool but in reference to GoW I'll let the E3 demo for Ascension do the talking...enough said.
This game could have a special place in multi player circles. The concept of creature vs. Human has been used (successfully by l4d) but I always felt like it could be phenomonal. Maybe this will be. Now I just gotta find time.
Very risky. Its a mix of hardcore and tablet. Its offline multi player which I don't understand and its really different in a time in which hardcore gamers are about to get next Gen awesomeness (see watchdogs and beyond). It may be great for families and platforming games like ray man, Mario etc. A father and son would have a great time. I guess anything is possible but I c the wiiu as having a 12 month window to hook ppl
Its funny that this is from the NYT, a really liberal paper whose agenda is supported by most gamers. Maybe they are pissed because gamers don't buy newspapers. Who are they to care about family values?
Anyway, I deal with this all the time. My friends, who spend every night at the bar laugh at me. But, I work 50 hours a week, work outside at home etc. I have video games, others have different hobbies. Though I will say, the gaming industry has been a boon in this econom...
I am thinking this has to b next Gen. The scope is unbelievable if it comes off like they are portraying. This is also very promising. It is good looking but imagine a city in which all those ppl have stories and can be hacked. Maybe this could b made now, but in an open world setting? I'd hate the gap between PC and consoles to b huge so I am hoping its a launch title next November.
I hope they allow loot creation too
Maybe u have a certain number of resources u can use for loot etc. It would b awesome to play something and get rewarded
I played resistance 2 awhile ago and it had this brilliant co op in which u had a team of 8 with 4 classes and each time u played u had different objectives, different enemies and they appeared in different areas. It was finite but refreshing and replay was very high. No one else has borrowed from this at all.
Until now. How great would it be to play a campaign in the vein of Diablo. CoD, Gears, & all others could up the ante if u had a leveling system and each time u pl...
