You can petition all you want, but if you are really wanting to be heard, it's even easier. Don't buy the game!!! Don't buy ANY EA games until EA learns that their CUSTOMERS are just as, if not more, important than their shareholders! Quit accepting buggy, broken, half-assed games! Until and unless you do, this shit will keep coming.
It's going to be an awfully rude awakening when MS sees the actual sales in a few months, not only in Japan, but also in China and in the rest of the 2nd tier countries they are launching in come September! I really can't wait to hear from georgenoob and trufan what the NEXT big thing to "save" the XB1 is going to be!
And how many "AAA" games were cancelled or delayed due to indie games being available? Thats right. ZERO! This idiotic debate that you have to have one or the other is just that, idiotic. Mainly the hate seems to come from the fact that due to Microsoft's ill conceived policies, more games are being published on the PS4, and Xbox fans can't accept the fact that some (not all) of these games are actually FUN!
What's the broadband like? Is it possible to download games on PSN? What are the prices like there?
Yay! Yet another Sunset Overhype article! Keep pushing folks! Put enough effort behind it, and I am SURE someone will buy it!
"Gee, I could put hundreds of man hours into a port to a console with dismal sales, or I could support the market leader which has an additional 200,000 or so potential customers a week...I wonder which platform I should focus my efforts on?"
Or you could buy 8-10 games with the money you would have wasted buying an Xbox. I went multiplatform last generation...this time, there is just not enough reasons to own both...especially with the performance (or lack thereof) of the XB1 and it's lack of compelling software.
Same developers (343) are making Halo 5, so don't expect the same level of quality that Bungie's Halo games delivered. I COULD NOT STAND Halo 4 MP either...I feel your pain.
What's funny is that the same guys who argue that graphics don't matter, turn right around and criticize "indie" games! Hypocrisy at it's finest!
Damn! $663? That is outrageously expensive! What does the PS sell for in US $ equivalent?
Ouch! Atari Jaguar? As a 3DO owner, I feel your pain!
I haven't seen one single game yet to convince me to spend another $500-$600 to get an XB1 (console, controllers, accessories, etc). Those games can stay "out of reach" for all I care. I have plenty to keep me occupied on the console I own now.
Sneaky bastards! Towerfall was on my "to buy" list, but I knew that I would have to shuck out $59 x 3 for more DS4 controllers...so I have been putting it off! Ah well :) Time to go to the store, I guess!
Look at where Sunset Overhype lands in the list. Something tells me that the NEXT last great hope for the Xbox One isn't going to be the magic bullet Spencer thinks it is!
1. Because intelligent gamers don't buy EA games
2. Because Battlefield 4 is STILL buggy as hell
3. Because EA prioritizes their shareholders over their customers.
4. (bonus) Because people have a hard time paying $60 for what should be DLC.
@Aces17 You are right, it's not 2:1. Last month in the US alone it was over 3:1! 197,000 to 38,000. Source? NPD. Fact. Get used to it, it's all downhill from here.
Anyone actually living in Germany want to comment on this?
The question really is, is it worth it to port the game to the Xbox One? If they do really well on the PS4, I could see them deciding that the effort to get it published on the Xbox simply wasn't worth it.
I have ZERO interest in either Titanfall or Sunset Overhype. I would not buy those games even if they were available on PS4! Ori and the Blind Forest does look good, as do a couple of the other indie titles. But none of these games are ones I couldn't easily live without.
Really? MS is letting you manage save game data for their game streaming service? Oh, wait, that's right... They don't HAVE a game streaming service.
