Scroll down to where it breaks down the different versions of HDMI and you will see frame rate capability.
In short, only 60fps is supported, except with HDMI 1.4b which allows for a 3D mode of 120fps with 60fps for each eye.
Bottom line is that ALL TVs ONLY SUPPORT 60fps for an INPUT. The "120hz" and "240hz&quo...
My guess is that they are capping the framerate at 30 just so the PC version doesn't make the Xbox One look underpowered.
Have fun waiting until 2016 for Crackdown.
1. Halo
2. Halo
3. Halo
4. Halo TV
5. Halo
What? A Kinect game that is hard to control and doesn't play like it should? You are kidding me! What a total and complete shock! /s
1. Best experience for multiplatform games...including exclusive content for some of the biggest titles.
2. More diverse library of exclusive games.
3. Remote play for Vita and PS TV lets you buy one PS4 console and use it throughout your home (or even away from home)
4. Playstation Now means backwards compatiblity
5. "Morpheus" VR (at some point in the future)
Unless you just HAVE to have Halo, it&...
No reason to tolerate shoddy programing and game design. It should be EASY to hit 1080p/30fps on any game on the PS4, unless you don't have a good programming team or are using a bad game engine!
I don't have any problem with microtransactions that don't affect gameplay. Buy all of the skins and hats that you want! But when they have GAME BREAKING DLC, like some weapons on COD, or the real cash for game cash in GTA, I have a BIG problem with it! That goes for "Free to Play" games as well as the $60 "AAA" games. Figure out how to make money in a way that doesn't give big spenders a game changing advantage, or I won't buy the game!
Sorry, but the Xbox One is STILL overpriced at $399. NOT ONE GAME that was shown at E3 by Microsoft will convince someone to buy their console over Sony's either. This is already reflected in the Amazon best seller ratings. White PS4 + Destiny bundle? #8. Standard PS4 console? #10. Xbox One (no Kinect) at $399? #44.
Yes, existing Xbox One fans are really excited for Halo 1-4. It's at #7. But it's apparently only selling to existing Xbox One customers...it&...
And how many times have you replayed Tomb Raider? Or Infamous? Or just about ANY OTHER story based game? Why does a game HAVE to include infinite replayability to be good? If it delivers 15+ hours of GOOD gameplay, and has a compelling story that draws me in, I will be happy.
Oops, accidentally hit "disagree" instead of "agree"...but I gave you a bubble up. This is exactly the problem...Xbox fans posting here don't really understand why MS got the huge backlash last year. They don't accept that the MS "Vision" was deeply flawed in the first place. They don't understand that Microsoft's attitude was "we know we have a more expensive console that is not as good at playing games, but LOOK, MULTIMEDIA! TV INTEGRAT...
For all of you whining about Playstation announcing exclusive video content...you DO realize that MS was hyping up the Halo video series during their show, right?
Get off your bloody high horses! BOTH companies are going to offer exclusive video content...but only ONE company offers the superior hardware for GAMING. THAT is why people were mad last year at MS, NOT because they have video apps, exclusive content, or TV integration! Not even because it had Kinect. It was be...
Better games, VR (yes, it's going to be a thing, don't knock it unless you have tried it, bub), Remote Play, Playstation TV, Playstation Now. Do I really need to go on? If you don't think they had a good show, you need to take off your fanboy glasses and watch again. The PRESENTATION sucked, sure...but the CONTENT of what they showed was gold.
Sorry, but Bungie didn't "Betray" anyone! They found life as a division of MS, with no control over their creation too restrictive and opted to split off and do their own thing. They are still supporting Microsoft's console, but Sony is paying for most of the marketing and paid them extra for exclusive content.
"people" dont truly feel that they were betrayed, boneheaded Xbox fanboys feel that way.
Because, like MS has with Call of Duty (also multiplatform), they have a marketing deal to promote the game for Sony only...it may be multiplatform, but all of the commercials are going to show it as "Available for PS4". Also, they have a bundle with a special edition white PS4 with a copy of the game on sale. AND they have exclusive content that will ONLY be available for Destiny on the PS4...that's not to mention the fact that the game will look better on the PS4...Bungie ha...
I don't blame you! I waited about six months to make sure that there were no glaring faults in the system before making my purchase...I also waited until Infamous was released, so I actually had a good game to play on it. But once I saw that there weren't large numbers of consoles frying themselves, I felt reasonably comfortable buying one...even though it's still the "launch version".
Now, my only regret is that I didn't wait for the Destiny bundl...
@True_Samurai Halo fans are already sold on the Xbox One. Everyone else could care less about the series...ESPECIALLY after Halo 4. Don't get me wrong, Halo was great...I just tired of playing online with 12 year olds (and those who ACT like they are 12!) I, and many others, stuck a fork in this franchise when Bungie left and 343 took over.
They simply had more things to show.
MS had (exclusive) Forza Horizons 2, Sunset Overdrive, Dance Central, Fantasia, Fable Legends (BETA!), Ori and the Blind Forest, and Halo 1-4. Not bad titles, Xbox fans will love them...but nothing compelling to a WIDE RANGE of gamers.
Sony on the other hand, had LBP3 (family friendly, creative), Grim Fandango (!), The Order:1886, BloodBorne, No Man's Sky (before you say it's timed, note that there is NO release...
Something tells me he's already there...
