No system is truly secure. Sony couldn't predict these attacks. If they responded to the threats then psn users would have suffered this down time anyway. Of course the system was secure. It has to be by law. I'm tired of people not thinking logically, complaining and whining about a free service which on signing up gives Sony the right to take said actions. Let's focus on stopping the people behind this attack.

The service will be back stronger and more secure. This was bound to happen given all the threats Sony has received over the last few months. This anonymous group has no structure or control of their members. Are we to believe it's not them? Bullshit. If you can't play offline games then don't regard yourself as a gamer. Every game has single player, and which other console has more of vast quality single player offerings? Let's be patient. This downtime isn't doing anyone...

Actually the question should be why aren't the people responsible found or being pursued. With all the threats Sony has faced in the recent weeks with all the hacking BS, you'd think the authorities and media would be more involved. Sony couldn't predict an intrusion of this magnitude at the initial creation of PSN. Even if they tried to add it in earlier on, this down time would have happened anyway.

The focus should not be on Sony. They know that this isnt in th...

Good Interview. Can't wait for this game!

That's a shame :( I got my code and hope PSN comes back. I'm hyped for this game.

They talk about free speech, yet innocent people are the ones taking the hit. These guys are liars.

Shut up IGN. Why not talk about things that are significantly affecting the Industry? Like the rise of only a few IPs dominating, and the effect on smaller developers? Or the price of certain games being higher just because of the name it carries? Or the effect of piracy? No, instead take this opportunity to wine and complain.

I take it you've played Asura's Wrath to make an informed comparison? I didn't think so.

Based on the situation in Japan, I can't see that market getting this first. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

Saying that I wish there could be a simultaneous American and European Launch. that would be class as us UK and EU folks are historically last when it comes to getting stuff.

Umm... We know all of this already.

This is getting ridiculous. Any random loser can be making these videos and claim to be anonymous. I'm tired of "we do not forget.." and all their slogans. Who are they to make a "press release"? Go back to your pathetic lives and leave the gaming Industry. You hurt Sony, then you hurt gamers. The two cannot be separated. There're too blind to see that.

Secondly, the whole Guy Fawkes mask thing is unoriginal and uninspired. It was used in this way...

Hahah. A noob sandwich is made of the following:

Bread = two or more annoying campers
Meat = Usually their brains splattered
Ketchup = Letting them bleed out

Individually there're nothing, but in a game with me they become food with a cup of tea (bag)

There are two things which caused the PSP Go to perform poorly in sales. Firstly it wasn't backward compatible, since the system was download only. Secondly, the price. If the price point was lower than the PSP, as it was really just a different form factor, i believe it would have sold better. Just look at the Japanese sales of the normal PSPs.

Dude. You are way off. EA ported the Orange Box, not Valve. Although I still dislike Gabe Newell, its not the development team. Most games ported to the PS3 in the beginning were of a lower quality. Even those that were done by the same development team. So you should be pointing the finger at many other developers.

This is a big step for gaming. True PC and Console integration. Saving a game and continuing it on any PC, playing with PC gamers... could be a sign of things to come in the future for the Industry. Maybe this is the first step? Anyways, I'm happy either way. We need to see more of this across the Industry.

I don't need gamer workouts, as my diet consists of noob sandwiches from around the world. Very healthy.

Oh My God... of War. I'll wait for confirmation from Sony.

I hope this is not true. Unless its a dark comedy about someone who stood for nothing and lied to everyone to gain media attention and fame. Geohot: Acting Tough, but Couldn't Tough it out. Or Geohot: Big Mouth Rapper "Hacker" or my last suggestion, How to break the law, Ruin jobs and Industries, and still receive donations. Too much? Ok I'll behave.

I think this will be the first Mortal Kombat since Trilogy on the PS1 that I'm really looking forward to. 7/10, although a good score, is one of the lowest I've seen for this title.

I just kant wait for this!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was at first gutted with the new controls and gameplay style changes between KZ2 and KZ3. Although I don't agree with them all, Guerilla still managed to mostly please most fans. I Like Uncharted's multi-player as well. Naughty Dog won't let us down.
