DUDE I've been saying this for ages on the articles. The hackers and finding them should be the focus.

Anyways, thanks for the article, and well said.

No. This would really piss off their current fan base.

A good strategy though would be to offer a limited discount alternative scheme, where you try the service for a few months at a lower price, then if you decide to stay, you just pay the difference for the rest of the year. Many people may sign up to that, as they'll have the ability to play online, but not tied to XBL for the full year, yet still have an option to stay. A good business decision I say.

Untarnished? This game has been unplayable and broken on the PS3 since launch. I just care about getting PSN back.

COD needs to die for a few years. Instead Activision keeps milking the franchise and consumers by releasing the same glitched and imbalanced game every year. No graphics upgrade, no dedicated servers or thorough beta testing with the same mediocre campaign... Yet the game is sold at a higher price along with its DLC.

Bring back PSN but minus COD ...

I guess giving something away for free isn't good enough anymore, people even want to complain, and choose what the free stuff is. I guess to these people Sony needs to offer 77 million different things to all the accounts hacked, while ensuring they don't get anything they've already bought.

Give me a break... A free month of plus would be at least a few themes and avatars, plus a game or two. Also the massive discounts on the store items alone pays for itself. T...

You get a lot of this for many games on plus, and all members get plus for a month.

@Dangett12...
How will Sony know what you or anyone else has? What can they possibly offer that no one has, except more of its services (of which most are free)...

I know Offer 77 million individual items to all the individuals accounts that got compromised. A free month of plus more than covers for a service that is free. The total offering so far is about $25.

No matter what they offer, no one would be happy. It like Sony did this on purpose. This h...

Sony will turn on PSN when its Safe. The worst thing would be for them to turn on the service and have it hacked again. That's in no one's interest.

@People blaming Sony... Do some reading for a change. they got hacked, like the hundreds of companies this year alone. Most likely because of the court case and threats that followed. No I'm not okay with it, and its not okay. Yes I'm pissed off, but more at the people who did it. Sony is now sharing information, ...

Low reviews all around. Wasn't expecting that.

I'm sure Sony's doing all they can. Its not in anyone's interest for it to be up without full security. Both Sony and consumers.

@ People supporting Anonymous...

Their free speech agenda is a joke. First off, the law gives us free speech, yet they decide to attack Sony before any official ruling in the George Hotz case. How is that supporting anything except taking matters into your own hands, regardless? Secondly, they decide to attack PSN, and then backed off because it "didn't support their "beliefs" Clearly they have no clue what this belief is, as it would have been clear cut an...

Same game, with a new name. Yes, the same broken, imbalanced glitch fest at a higher price, and people will buy it in the millions... although it will offer nothing innovative or new.

5506d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Wait for the big announcement... Another broken online, another mediocre campaign, again being a glitch fest, and hacked to hell. And don't forget, no innovation, dedicated servers, or updated engine... and guess what? It will be priced higher, just like its DLC and people will still eat it up. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Independent cells are a risk? Every cell is independent. There is no formal structure or single goal, even though they all act as if they behave as one collective.

They're random and rouge cyber criminals, even though they claim not to be. I hope they are caught (at least some) and made an example of.

Framed? Its them. They lied many times, and have no structure or control over their members. So How can they deny anything? Its them. I've always believed it. Too much of a coincidence for them, to say that they're planning something huge, and then this happens.

They have no reputation or values. They don't even have a unified ideology, or one that they themselves can comprehend or follow. They are ruing gaming, the Industry and Jobs, by claiming to stand for free...

I wish this was opened to the Public, or at least part of it.

E3 will be awesome.

I don't really want to see a fourth player, but if there ever is one then I'd like it to be SEGA (which we know won't happen)

If Apple does do something in the future, then I see it to be more something like OnLive through a partnership or similar scheme.

I'm actually proud and glad that Sony stood up to the hackers. I can't speak for anyone else or other gamers, but I hope this becomes a future trend in other industries. The only way to make them stop is to find them, and making them an example.

The hackers probably thought that Sony would have just lie down and take it, but instead they didn't. As a result Sony is feeling the pressure. The media, gamers, developers and all the sites needs to get behind the Indust...
