The fact remains that in the markets where MS were the strongest last gen and were the market leader, they are not this gen. This means they have lost ground and mind share in terms of the consumers. The year on year growth you quote was already starting from a low base, with an updated console launch the following year. This alone will drive year on year growth. Also, the Xbox One year on year has been heavily discounted, both in terms of bundles and add-ons, and STILL they are behind.
Ummm... system was a bit close? In NA only yes. Also people were cleary pre-ordering the Pro when it was announced, i.e. the months leading up to launch.
All this talk about Scorpio, and yet we know nothing of games that are on it. I think at E3 MS will show a new main stream Halo and Forza, but that's expected. Where are the new IPs? Bring back Perfect Dark or something. I could care less about more power or 4K bluray... where are the games?
- PSN Name change. Even if it's just one time, with a small fee subsequently (benefits Sony too)
- Better controller battery life.
- Making more than one system your Primary (I have 2 PS4s and a Pro) and need to restore licenses constantly
- Some kind of account merging or splitting so I can have access to my old stuff if I decide to change my name or start a new account.
The target is shipping 60 million units by March, and not selling through to consumers. and not selling through 60 million by the end of March 2017. They ship more than they sell to keep stock levels, and in this regard they will no doubt ship more in Jan-March. 60 million shipped will be reached.
That's a good thing. Give the game time and yearly releases just take the wind and hype out of franchises... not to mention quality on some occasions. There will be a Starwars game though!... I hope :)
When it comes to third party support, power does matter. I am waiting to see what support the switch gets and how non-Nintendo games run on them before buying.
It is misleading because no game outputs at 4K on the OneS. In fact games struggle to output at 1080p which means the standard PS4 is actually better at native resolution for games. The OneS is a 4K media player... not a 4K video game console. They were playing a game and talking about resolution, which doesn't utilise the UHD player. If they were watching a movie then it would not be misleading.
Xbox marketing is jumping on the resolution band wagon when they said las...
It's doesn't output 4K for games. Not even 1080p for the game being played in the advert. It upscales from 720 and 900 to 4K. The standard PS4 actually has better resolution. They were not playing 4K media like a film... they were playing a game. That's misleading.
This is not by Sony. It's third party. Looks too big. D pad looks horrible, and the price is far too high. Maybe it will surprise us and be a good product, but that price is too much.
It was sold out on Amazon UK for the last week!

It's 81 on meta critic currently...?
So it looks like an XB1s?

What are the launch games? Any new IPs? What is the price? Until we know these no solid conclusions can be drawn.
Hmmm... not surprising.
DMC 3 remains the best in the series IMO. I hope to see Virgil back if this turns out to be a DMC old school kind of sequel

Good Review
Well I am enjoying these "downgrades" in 1080p, exclusively on PlayStation.

Now married life can kill them both :)
In all seriousness congrats!
