Where were these articles about the 360? Where was it with Titan Fall and TR? Content first, marketing exclusivity and such deals were popularised by MS
Yeah for a year or 2... then the PS5 launches in 2019/20. This year is a wash for MS. Every major third party game has marketing with Sony over holiday 2017. Developers will not overlook a 50 million plus install base and growing further in 2018/19. Lead platform will remain with Sony.
Maybe MS will make some ground before the PS5. But not enough to make up a 2:1 gap. Plus the exclusives are still coming this gen from Sony
When MS did it I guess it was okay? How easily people forget or choose to turn a blind eye.
Not right now. Wait until the reception and success of the switch is truly known. Then gauge if it's worthwhile to have something with the PS5. This way exclusives portable games only won't be an issue for longevity but instead an added functionality of the console.

This is such a wasted opportunity. This thing could have sold quite a lot over XMAS 2016. Once again Nintendo under produces and under ships way less more than demand. This is not good for Nintendo fans, as it just lets people buy them up and re-sell. This money doesn't go to Nintendo nor does it do any good for fans of Nintendo or people that wanted one. Ridiculous. Nintendo are backwards thinking.
But it's niche... Sony just has unknown IPs that no one cares about or buys! Where are the guns? In fact the console has no games!

I remember people complaining when the one was always updating... not it's reversed and it's a good thing! Not sure all the XB1 updates were for the better though.
Maybe MS will go back to actual sales numbers now... this console needs to be relevant worldwide to compete... not just the US
They won't be "forced". The PS4 has sold over 55 million worldwide. A 2:1 lead over the xbox. The slim will go to £199 and Pro £299 in about 2 years. Then the PS5 will then come 2019/20. Sony has games and long term marketing deals, plus they have the most market share and will be cheaper... power doesn't "win" software and competition does.
I won't be getting a Scorpio until they are games for it. Defending a weak console and ignoring the things that seemed to not matter a year ago... i.e. grahics, performance, resolution... now important but played down when the narrative suits. That's all I'm saying here.
For a console team that said "play the game, not the resolution", they are certainly making it a big deal of it now. Strange how resolution didn't matter with the launch Xbox 1, but does now... also Indies didn't matter and the PS4 had "no games"... Don't see the same thing being thrown to the Xbox.
Fallout and other Bethesda games have many more issues than this game... Graphics, facial animations, textures, etc. The backlash for this game is ridiculous.
I'll reserve opinions until I see the games and the IPs. If they are going to show the usual 3 games ad no new IPs then I won't be interested at all. Spec wise the memory is impressive. Its seems about 30% more powerful than a Pro? I could be wrong... Other than the memory I was expecting a much bigger jump though. PS5 will no doubt be here in 2019/20. So the games, along with NEW IPs are key.
Games and Price will either make or break this. Need NEW IPs

Sony has games for the next 2-3 years for the PS4. A strong line up of first party and second party exclusives and content deals. This E3 will be another great showing.
