MS comes out every generation stating how they will invest in games and new IPs, only to falter mid generation and offer services over games. They did this with the 360 as well. In tatter years the focus was Kinect instead of investing in studios. The whole exclusive content, marketing rights and timed content was popularised by MS last generation. This was to make up for lack of original IP. None of their IPs have evolved either,,, yes they look better, but that comes with the generational l...
Their only regret is not making money of it!
How is Sony arrogant to block cross platform with Xbox? It only supports MS. Sony wants their own eco system. I am not saying I agree with it, but as a strategy it's help sells PS4s. If you have an Xbox, and I a playstation, and you want to play online with me you'll have to buy a PS4. Not a PC or crossplay between consoles. It's a business strategy. Not arrogance. What's arrogant is "games as a service". Like if this is what the industry needs. More paid services.
The greatest line up in Xbox history... again
They will update us on what's coming to Xbox? So they will tell us about the next update, games as a service and backward compatibility games coming to the system... no thanks.
Stupid, useless idiot
Nobody with a PS4 you mean. You are deluded to think no one buy exclusives... this only suits MS and Xbox's narrative of not having exclusives. Surely you'll buy the next Gears? But no one buys them right... unless they are Xbox exclusives? Horizon sold over 2 million, GT Sport over 2 million... niche titles like Nier, Gravity Rush, Yakuza and Nioh are all profitable and exceeded expectations... guess what? This gives the Ps4 variety and choice, with worldwide appeal.
#Compromised and True 4K?
I can't see how anyone can say MS has a promising 2018. They have about 3 games announced? They keep on promising exclusives at beginning of every gen only to not deliver as the lifecycle continues. The PS4 is successful not just because it was more powerful with better performing third parties... It was cheaper, had more first party titles promised, and catered to gamers. Paying $500 for something without compelling games is just not worth it IMO. Especially if you paid $500 for the laun...
The game was revealed at Paris Game week this year and widely talked about on all gaming websites. Either you don't follow PS news or gaming media in general. It's a new IP from Sucker Punch
And so what if it does? Will it be a good game, with a great story? I'm glad games like these are still getting made. Unlike the constant mass market games from EA and Activision, that are just for the most profit... Sony and it's studios are showing that first party and new IP can still be successful and critically acclaimed. This without the need for forced online. Nioh and Nier are good examples of this... Though they are second party.
Nice to see the MS and Xbox rhetoric of just choosing Q4 is still alive and well. GT Sport and UC: LL are what Sony released in Q4, along with the Frozen Wilds Expansion. They only had some Indie games which I will leave out for the sake of balance... Anyways below are 12 Exclusive games on PS4 in 2017. Most rated very highly.
I cant see how PUBG is a notable release in it's current state.
Nio, Nier, Yakuza 0, Crash, Horizon, MLB: The Show 17, Knack 2, Person...
The only exclusives on that list are Forza 7 and Cuphead. PUBG is not even a game yet, and it's a broken mess. I guess full games like GT Sport and UC:LL do not count. And new IPs and exclusives in Q1, Q2 and Q3 don't count either. The PS4 has had over 10 exclusives this year, with most of them ranked 80 or more on Metacritic.
Nio, Nier, Yakuza 0, Crash, Horizon, MLB: The Show 17, Knack 2, Persona 5, Yakuza Kwami, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, GT Sport,...
...
So because "noteworthy exclusives" were not released in Q4, the PS4 didn't win 2017? What was released on the Xbox One all year and in Q4? In fact the company with the most powerful console have no "noteworthy exclusives"
GT Sport, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Frozen Wilds expansion? Vs Forza, PUBG and Early Access? I have left out Indies, but the story here is the same. More on PS4.
I think the PS5 will be released no later than 2020. It will surpass 100 million easily. I think in 2018 the price will reach $199 standard, and $299 for the Pro.
Exclusives make and keep a console attractive. Of course they sell less... It's on one platform and many of the IPs may not be main stream... But it variety, diversity and choice which keeps players coming back to the console, and it's the console that sells more which leads the market.
When MS launched the Xbox One they boasted about exclusives and to the fanatics indies didn't matter, resolution didn't matter... Now all this matters when it's for Xbox...
I spent 1000+ hours on KZ2 online. I loved this game.
Just like EA, we want games as a service :)
They guys are half naked too... I guess that doesn't matter
"Biggest E3 yet", "Greatest line-up in Xbox history... blah blah blah... Let's see they will show a Forza and maybe a new Halo... Any new solid first or second party exclusive IPs worth playing?
