I forgot the name, but the spike grenades from Resistance were awesome, also I think the portal gun should get an honorable mention.

It's hard to take these numbers seriously when Wii sports and Motorstorm is included. The reason? They are packed in with the consoles. Funny that the 360 pack ins aren't up there though. Or It might just be that the 360 bundes haven't dropped yet.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the Motorstorm numbers are somewhat more reiabe than Wii Sports because you can buy Motorstorm without buying a PS3. I've never seen Wii Sports being sold alone.

I like how people try to undermine the validity of this blogger. They don't take into account where the blog came from. They say he's a random nobody, when he's a journalist with PCWord. Last time I checked, that magazine is still in print. So how does that make him some random nobody?

Demand hasn't been met because Nintendo wants to keep interest high. If there are enough, sales slow down. Look at the halo numbers, it sold like water in a fire the first few days, then when the majority of the people who wanted it, bought it the numbers slowed down. the same thing will happen with the wii. As soon as nintendo makes enough for people to walk into a store and just buy one without having to hunt for one, the numbers will drop off.

It doesn't look like anyone's said it so I will. The reason the end of the year is flooded with games versus the summer or any other time of year is that the majority of people view games as toys. Toys are always marketed more heavily at the end of the year due to Christmas. This is sad considering that the average age of gamers today is around 28-29 or maybe even higher now.

below: I meant that it is sad because we have to wait until the end of the year to get the good games ...

I think the problem (in part) is that these screenshots look like they've been ripped from video involving a lot of motion, so the graphics might not be as bad when the game is idle. However, it looks good, but not unbelievably good.

You have some interesting theories. I like how you can predict the future. PS3 isn't doing so hot right now. Everybody knows this. However, everyone also knows that the 360 breaks constantly, and the Wii is super cheap comparatively.

That is in U.S. Japan is Wii country simply because they love that weird sh1t. PS3 is still beating 360 in Japan. And the 360 only has one game that increased sales. After two years, that's not so much better. I recall the 360 had no decent games f...

That's kind of stupid to bring up Lair and Heavenly Sword together. Lair did suck due to it's control scheme. It wasn't that bad when you got used to the controls. HS however was universally praised as one of the most beautiful games ever. the only complaints anybody really had was the length and that the combat wasn't as polished as something like God of War.

The sky is blue. More details as this obvious deduction develops.

Obviously, someone doesn't like sarcasm. I r so :(

Halo 3 is not the best game ever. Not even close. It is a good game, but it isn't even that great of a shooter. So many other shooters are better. Half Life was awesome back in 98 with no loading delays and scripted events that you could choose to watch or ignore. Also, it felt like you could go back anywhere you wanted to unless something had happened to block your way. Any of the SWAT games are better when it comes to replayability (I can't comment specifically on Halo 3 on this count, thi...

That is amazing logic. What you forget is the seasonal sales cycle of the industry. 360 has had two christmases. PS3 only one. It also doesn't take into account reviewr bias. If I am pro sony and give almost every sony game 10, would my reviews really matter? Same with the 360. Also, since when is 7.5 a great game? on a 100 point scale most charts put that as good, not great. It's also funny that you forget to mention that it's 39 great games out of 73 listed. That's versus 112 out of 252 lis...

It's always funny how the 360 was dead in the water when it first came out and for the first year, yet no one remembers that now. What are all the AAA titles for the 360, that I know of? (I already know there will be a fVckload of disagrees, but what the hell. try to argue with me reasonably and not like a fanboy and I might not think you a tard) GOW: came out a year later and now is coming to PC with more content. Lost Planet: Most people were iffy about this one, or so it seemed. Crackdown:...

360 isn't doing that hot right now either. The fad Wii passed in units sold last month in only 9 months. How is that pwnage for the 360? The Wii doesn't really count as next gen, but the PS2 has been consistently outselling the 360 as well. What other big games are out this year for 360? Besides Mass Effect? And I mean this year, not 1st quarter 08.

Below: No, that's not what I'm saying. However, the 360 is doing poorly outside of NA, at least compared to what xbots claim it is...

The companies have two very different philosophies when it comes to the games they have. Sony tries to have games that appeal internationally as well as specific titles for certain territories. Microsoft focuses primarily on North America. Gamers want differetn things in different territories. That is one of the big reasons that the360 doesn't do as well outside of NA. Besides who can honestly say that the first game they think of when they think 360 isn't Halo 3? It's not a good thing when y...

The only territory the 360 is doing well in is North America. Europes numbers are not good, and the 360 is pretty much dead in Japan. While there are a lot of people in NA, there are not enough to keep the 360 alive as far as future growth much longer. The PS3 is going to catch up eventually and the Wii has already passed the 360. The 360 has good games, but with MS GFW platform, most 360 "exclusives" are on PC as well (with extra content). That alone takes away from the 360 experie...

Maybe Halo 3 is code for the 3 red lights in the Red Ring of Death

The problem with reviewers is they usually get early code of the game they review( I'm referring to print media) to try to beat out internet sites with reviews. Lair was not the greatest game ever. It was however, not a horrible game. It was a solid 7. The controls have issues, supposedly fixed with the 1.92 update, but they do not break the game. Also, it's a fvcking dragon game. What do people expect to be doing. Burning sh1t and killing sh1t. Check and check. Those who will enjoy it, enjoy...

The Wii is a fad. ``Light users are quick to buy, but, not being serious gamers, they are also quick to get bored,'' Murakami said. ``That's one of the issues facing Nintendo.''
Quote from the article. The games that are for the hardcore gamer are fine. Somewhat kiddie, but fine if you're a Nintendo junkie.

The problem is, Nintendo is slowly forsaking the hardcore for the casual. Look at all the shows for this year, Nintendo has been pimping WiiFit and plastic, almost co...

I don't know if anyone else has said this. I didn't feel like wading through all the 360 RULEZ/PS3SUX bullsh1t. Both systems right now are about equal when it comes to graphical power. That's not really saying much considering a year head start. So "the PS3 is "harder" to code for". Isn't that a developer's fuking job? that's like a firefighter saying "I couldn't rescue those people because the fire was too hot." I really don't think we will see any games that ca...

MS got screwed by GTA4 being delayed. MS pushed Halo 3's release early to avoid competition with GTA4, with that much time between release and Christmas, much of Halo 3's sales are going to be in Sept-Oct. Yes it will sell at Christmas, but it's unrealistic to expect parents to listen to their kids b1tching for 3-4 months for a game, just to give it as a present.
Bioshock's getting good reviews. Fact is you can play it elswhere. And please don't anyone say that it's still exclusive bec...
