This is SPARTA!
It's all about preference and Insomniac has said several times that the 60 players will be split up into small squads and occaisionally bring everyone together for a huge battle. Sometimes you want a balls out firefight fragfest and sometimes you want a more tactical experience. Just because you can play with 60 players doesn't mean you have to.
A guy making a game says it's better than another guy's game. Oh my God. I think I'm gonna have a heart attack. Please, please, somebody tell me that grass is green and the sky is blue! Please! Somebody else say something completely obvious and expected.
(Note: This last statement is not meant to imply that Gears 2 is better than Resistance 2, time will tell on that account, so suck it fanboys, just that it is obvious and completely expected that the Lead Designer of a game is ...
Where the hell is my fire extinguisher? Also, my dumbass stick?
EDIT: Why would someone disagree with ^^this^^? I guess some people really do love flamebait articles that do nothing constructive. Of course, it could be that they think I intend the stick for them. In that case, I probably do. And if you're going to disagree, be a man about it and say why.
This is going to get so extra flamey in here, I'm almost surprised it hasn't yet.
EDIT: 8 minutes later and there it goes.
Obviously this guy has never heard of anti-trust laws. Also, he is assuming that Sony is willing to lose face after dominating the industry for the last 15 years.
You get kind of defensive don't you?
My main point is that these articles are nothing more than flamebait. (I know I have a mirror around here somewhere for you) And how many articles do we really need about how the 360 is superior but there is no space for the new larger games coming out. And to try to answer your rant: The PS3 will only improve with time as more developers become better acquainted with it. As of right now, the 360 is easier to work with becasue the technology...
This article is a joke. And flamebait as done by someone who can barely string to words together and thinks it funny.
These articles have been going around for the last two years. The 360 is easier to program for so it's better. Also, I think the author's bias is showing a bit with him paraphrasing that Carmack and co all think the 360 is Superior. If they really thought and said that, why not use a direct quote? It seems like Carmack said the 360 was easier to develop for and that's it. Back to the topic: the 360 is easier to code for, great. It has no storage space (comparatively). No sh1t. Do we really ne...
I wonder how long it will take the fanboys (from both sides) to start picking apart this list? Overall, it does seem to fit. Hopefully the fanboys won't go to crazy; at least there aren't too many exclusives being nominated.
Little Big Planet probably won't take off as big as Sony is hoping, but then again, if the controls to create are as easy as everyone has been saying, it could be huge. Look at youtube, when it started, most people thought it wouldn't work and now...
I just wonder how long before somone posts on here "Oh those games suck anyway."
Actually, Sega Saturn needs to pull his head out of his ass. He is comparing game time to file size. MGS4 is one of the largest games ever made in file size. There is a huge difference between game time and file size.
Who honestly cares what he has to say? For a while he was on here pimping his own site/blog and it was always some bullsh1t that most rational people looked at and said, "this guy's a dumbass", and that was it. People need to stop approving his articles; all they do is start pointless flame wars. And it doesn't matter what he says, he's still an idiot whether he's talking about MS, Nintendo, or Sony.
This is a bad move for MS. I mean it's good that they finally realized that there were free options on PC so having a pay service was stupid, but all this does is put more pressure on them to make XBL free. They won't because they make to much money off of it. If they were smart they would allow Silver members to play online, but make half of their user base swith to silver accounts which will cost them a ton of money.
Maybe you needs some more schooling, but I didn't spin anything. Reading is hard, I know. I simply responded to your diatribe about the 360 being god's gift to the world. You are the one who brought up the PS3 in an article that doesn't mention it at all. I say MS is off on their market targeting because of the way they are now copying the Wii and the PS3 to try to broaden their market share. That sounds like to me that MS thinks they made a mistake. It's okay. 360 really is the best, I swear...
People compare the Wii to the 360 because the 360 came out a year earlier so all things being equal, the 360 should never have fallen behind due to sheer numerical advantage. The simple fact that the Wii has passed the 360 is important because it illustrates how far off MS is on their market targeting. Even though I still think the Wii is a fluke, the fact that ther are more in homes than there are 360s is a huge deal. And no one is mentioning the PS3 because right now the PS3 is in third but...
The only reason anyone is saying MS "won" is because of FF XIII. That's it. Gears 2 is cool but we've seen the game before. Everyone is still leary of Fable 2 if it will actually meet expectations. Everything else was multiplatform. Or a rip off of Sony or Nintendo. People seem to forget that FF XIII is multiplatform in certain territories. The key being multiplatform. It's not like MS "stole" FF XII away from Sony. Besides, Sony still gets it first and there plenty of peo...
I find it funny that half the people here are saying that the reviewers are biased and that's why it's so high/low. And others are going to get it anyway, regardless of the poor reviews. And still others are disappointed and won't get it now. If reviewers are biased, why do you still read their reviews? If it doesn't matter what the reviewers said, why read the review? The review scale for this industry is such bullsh1t.
On topic: Anyone who really thought anything else was goi...
