I guess I must have been referring to all the people with Silver accounts or play online with their PCs or PS3s. I couldn't have been referring to them. And I'm sure you asked all 12 million Gold members whether or not they like having to pay just to play online? People don't like having to pay for food, but they do. And if you want to play online on the 360, you have to.
While we can agree to disagree, I think you are taking it too seriously if you are comparing it to religion. And who says it doesn't interest me? I have considered buying a 360 several times, can you say the same about the PS3? I still believe that Live is a ripoff for charging to play online. If everything else, the movie downloads, netflix, cross game invites, etc was a premium service, I feel that the Gold membership would be a better value. It's ridiculous of MS to have very solid MP game...
And vice versa.
EDIT: Eveyone that disagreed is a liar. Everyone knows that: "There could be a story about how the Xbox 360(Playstation 3) cured cancer,AIDS, solved world hunger and payed off the US national debt and PS3(Xbox 360) fanatics would be here reaching for things to slander it for."
You can interchange the names and it all comes out the same.
The point is you don't have to pay to play online elsewhere, only to play on Live.
It's the fact that there are other options that are free. That is why most people have a problem paying for Live. It's like buying oxygen instead of just breathing.
The biggest problem with live is paying to play online. If you could play online for free and all the other stuff was premium, nobody would have a problem with paying for extra stuff. Also, if you could play online for free, there would be a lot fewer Gold accounts. Besides, this is Amazon, not MS, so it's not really a price cut; it's just a deal from Amazon.
That was Insomniac's plan the whole time. They wanted to get the game working as well as possible an then focus on polishing the graphics to make it pretty.
The article never states which is the "Good LCD" and which is the "Plasma". Everyone just assumes which is which because he talks about working on the 360 for longer and the PS3, which they haven't worked on as long, was a "new challenge". People always seem to forget that challenge does not mean difficult or impossible necessarily. Some people like a challenge. That's why games like Ninja Gaiden and Bionic Commando are popular, because they are challenging.
I think someone got his ass kicked.
No. 4 discs did not stop anyone from playing FF VII. That's because it was on 3 discs. FYI.
Because the PS3 only needs 1. When the PS3 needs 1 and the 360 needs 2 or 3, it makes MS look bad.
Are you serious? Haven't you been around long enough to know that a lot of times, console manufacturers have contracts with third party developers that states the game must be as identical as possible on every platform, well at least between the 360 and the PS3? That was the "reason" GTA4 was delayed so the PS3 version could come out day and date.
EDIT: Okay then. And specific console versions are becoming less likely to be canceled due to high development costs. This...
The poor tool being the 360? Either way that's a lot of irony for one statement. And funny.
Did you even read the article?
"According to Willits, the game was supposed to feature several wastelands for the player to explore. Because of the limitations of the Xbox 360's media, they had to cut down the wastelands to only two, which are themselves split into multiple instances. These changes have been made across all versions of Rage, not just the 360 port.
"I wouldn't say the overall story was changed in any way in order to fit on the Xbox 360 v...
This is the proof that Sony fanboys have been waiting for. It's kind of sad and funny at the same time. This is going to get ridiculously retarded.
EDIT: I love blind disagrees, it makes me feel like I'm doing something right. Otherwise those that disagrred with me would actually tell me why I'm wrong instead of clicking disagree.
He probably doesn't really know what it means.
Wow, apparently bundles are the way to win. Not a price drop. Because a price drop wouldn't keep things the same.
While the PS2 may have had problems, most people agree that it was only the early models and only with the silver backed DVDs. The 360's problems still continue and the wonderful warranty is about to start expiring in two months. And the only reasons MS is fixing it for free is 1) They are trying to avoid a class-action lawsuit, and 2) RROD is the only malfunction that MS can't blame on the user.
EDIT: I wonder what people are disagreeing to. Is it the PS2? Or is it the reason...
I don't know what kotaku expected to discover from this, other than a new source of flamebait. While some may find the results interesting, this is hardly a scientific study. If there were more details of what the exact wording of the questions were, then we could see if the questions were leading. Also, the article does not state the location of the stores. From personal experience, most Gamestop employees are the worst kind of fanboy and a lot of them are 360 fans. Interesting, but mostly f...
It all comes down to preference. Some people prefer Live, some prefer PSN. It can go back and forth all day:
"Everyone has a headset on Live"
"There aren't as many douchebags on PSN"
"Live is better."
"PSN is free."
"You can do cross game chats/invites/etc on Live."
"Live has been out for 6 years. PSN is getting there."
Granted these examples are kind of...
