Understatement of the year.
They already had the Natal conference last night. It didn't go very well.
What are people supposed to do to control this game, run in place really, really fast? Yeah, that'll fly like a fuckin lead balloon.
For MS quantity = quality. As routinely referenced by their boastings about sales.
I can't wait to play Eyepe... I mean Nintendog... I mean Kinectimals with it.
Break it down
This E3 is off to a piss poor start if this is Microsoft's official press conference. There was waaaay too much Kinect stuff, most of which looked prerecorded, and a teaser for a crytek game but you couldn't tell what the fuck it was.
Also, was anyone else disappointed by the Rising footage?
You will be the first to pay $15 for rehashed World at War maps. Get it right.
Microsoft screwed the pooch on this one. With Infinity Ward gone, CoD is going to go downhill really fast.
From what I gather from people's responses, Microsoft captured people's imagination with the initial reveal of Natal and this presentation last night reeked of style over substance. It turned people off because Microsoft put on a show versus presenting Kinect in a straightforward way. And what was shown for Kinect didn't impress people. All there was were imitations of Wiisports/Sports Resort, Eyepet, and a Minority Report interface. People were expecting more.
Do you also say that the sky isn't blue, grass isn't green, water isn't wet?
Cartoony/cutesy graphics do not necessarily mean that the game is not hardcore. That would be like saying Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart aren't hardcore because of the graphics.
I thought the point of Natal or Kinect or whatever was that you didn't need to hold anything. Guess that wasn't entirely true, was it?

The on-board cpu was removed and the IR camera is allegedly powerful enough to detect and track movement in low light. Otherwise you are correct.

Just look at other accessories/add-ons for the 360:
From Xbox.com
Wireless adapter: $99.99
250 GB Hard drive: $129.99

HD DVD player (At Launch) $199.99
If history is any indication, Natal will be expensive.
EDIT I love how peop...
Keep telling yourself that, man. Because you say it, it must be true.
If Nintendo shows a picture of Link and then says, "Fuck you, It's never coming! Never! Now, let us show you WiiTeaParty." And Sony will just have to come out and price Move at $249 US Dollars.
