1. No lawyer would comment without knowing the full details of the complaint and the precedents associated with cases like these.

2. Sony is in a fairly good position, in my opinion, because of contract law. The EULA is implicitly agreed to with the purchase of the console, just like the Wii and 360. Sony retains the rights to the software for the PS3, including the right to alter the software as they see fit, which includes adding and removing features.

They...

They can't win with false advertising either. Sony did sell them a PS3 with the ability to install Linux, as advertised. Sony also retains the rights to the software of the PS3 as stated in the EULA. The other OS feature is a part of the software of the PS3, hence Sony retains the right to do with it what they please. This is a matter of contract law, not false advertising. It would be like trying to sue a car dealer if your AC goes out for false advertising.

Compare Sony removing a software feature, which they had every right to do, to the Nazi extermination of undesirables. They are so similar. Good job.

EDIT: Lazy One,

Really? Is that what he was doing? I didn't realize. I'm sorry. I guess comparing something as trivial as videogame console features to the Holocaust is okay as long as you have a point. I see it now. Removing the Other OS features and rounding up random groups of people and systematicall...

How am I dreaming? Everything that Sony has said regarding a paid PSN service has been that Every feature available now will remain free, anything added may be part of the premium service.

And as for what was to be in the service:

That makes no sense. MS fanboys will always attack Sony no matter what, so what does that have to do with anything? As long as there is a PSN option that allows users to keep what they have now for free, i.e. online play, then there should be no problem in offering a PSN option with more features at a price. The key difference between the Live model and the PSN Premium model, assuming the scenario I proposed, is that there is a choice in the PSN model.

If you just want to pla...

In games like CoD or Battlefield, I can understand playing the multiplayer more than the single player because that is a big draw. But the single player in games like this are the reason you play games like this.

Different strokes, I guess. But that just makes no sense.

Nobody's supposed to know that. How did you find this out? Representatives from the ESA will be arriving at your home shortly to take you to a fanboy reeducation camp. You will stay there until you realize that one of these companies MUST win and you have picked one to support. Any attempt to avoid this with be met with penalties.

Did this really need to be said: "A company sold a sh1tload of their products and now have a large sum of money as a result." Thanks for that bit of news, Captain Obvious.

In other news, grass is green, the sky is blue, water is wet, and getting laid feels good.

They need to use the manuals for more than just redundant information presentation. Make it something interesting like with what Metal Gear did. As it stands the game manuals are redundant and unnecessary. Either incorporate them into the immersion of the game, or just get rid of them.

Don't lie. Your "coworker" may claim he just opened the message and suddenly his account was hacked, but if that were true, why didn't they use your, I mean his, credit card information and steal stuff people would actually want like most identity thieves do instead of buying a bunch of crap on a closed system? Everything I can find about PSN Code generators is just phishing scams. I can't feel sorry for someone getting burned when they try to cheat the system.

For what...

What rights are human rights?

EDIT: Those right are a violation the natural order. They are based on the idea that everyone is equal, or rather should be made to be equal by artificial means. Those rights assume that everyone has equal ability, equal intelligence, equal potential, etc. That is just not true.

You people act like these people are being brutalized and forced to work these sh/tty jobs instead of being free to do what they wish at a decent job. Not a single one of you dumbasses stop to think that while, compared to what we might be used to, they suck, they are some of the better jobs available for these people when faced with the alternatives: i.e. starving, crime, or prostitution.

Do you also never notice that these article never examine what that "low pay" com...

Steal exclusives, expand the game room, Halo, Valve, Episodic Gaming, Valve, Memory, Bundle, MMO, and Natal.

Let's look at this list:

Exclusives: What else is there really for MS to steal? There aren't any exclusives that would be worth bringing to the 360 of the exclusives that could be bought. Although I do like how they admit that it takes MS moneyhats to accomplish those steals.

MMO: I really don't think this one will work out too well as the traditi...

I was referring to first party games being too large to fit on 1 DVD, but the fact that many 3rd party games could conceivably be made to work for the PS3 on 1 DVD as they are on 1 DVD on the 360. I brought it up because I remembered reading somewhere that the Debug PS3s that reviewers have can play PS3 games on DVD. Either way I seriously doubt it would be that big of a deal to create a workaround as it would reduce the cost of pirating PS3 3rd party games a great deal.

Everyone looking down on the pilots and gunners needs to shut the fvck up. You get angry at the video which is designed to incite anger and yet never realize that it is only half of the footage that is available of the event and that there is an obvious bias in the video.

Everyone acts like the video is what those men saw, it isn't. The camera is mounted on the gun, the pilots and gunners have to use their eyes. Also, everyone here is condemning these men with the luxury of hinds...

The Ipad being jailbroken isn't that impressive since it's running a modified version of the iphone OS. And considering how fast the code was ported, it obviously wasn't that modified.

Do you really think that every game on the PS3 needs a BluRay? I'm sure if the hackers can get deep enough into the OS, they can write code to accept DVDs as game discs. The only problem would be the file size and considering that almost all multiplat games have to fit on one DVD because of the 360, if a way is made to run PS3 games on DVD, piracy becomes a much more likely, and an easier, endeavor.
