The Ipad is just a giant Ipod touch. The biggest problem that I have is the lack of flash support. If I buy a PC or a netbook, I expect to be able to view videos from places other than youtube or videos I already own. I would want to stream Netflix on it.
I also have a problem with the whole if you want to use it anywhere, you have to cough up more money. Every model should come with 3G, but they don't.

The point is those that use Linux to turn the PS3 into a supercomputer don't play games on it, so it won't affect them. This only affects those that want both, which is a small percentage, and a good number of those probably only use it in hopes of using it to hack the PS3 and pirate games.
This video doesn't prove anything. On the video, the PS3 version starts at 2:04 and it takes 14 seconds to even get to the PS3 portion of the video. So either it is edited to reduce the video length or the dumbass is including the "Previously" segment in the length which is bullshit.

Unfortunately, replays will be a little tedious because you replay the same sequences over and there's no way to skip ahead in game. It will still be a badass game, but even in the demo, it got tiresome going through the exact same dialog before you could do anything different.
How is it different? Most racing games use R2 to go and the left stick to steer. The same is the case in Heavy Rain.

EDIT @ Blaze: You're right. Indigo Prophesy exists and Heavy Rain is a spiritual successor. The reason why so many people are overlooking IP, I think, is because Heavy Rain takes what it did and evolves it into something different. You couldn't lose a character in Indigo. You could fail the QTEs in Indigo, while in Heavy Rain it just leads to a different outcome.
