Yes, you totally misinterprested "sony thinks blurray is finished"
sony doesnt think blueray is finished. Sony thinks bluray is the last format for optical disc. Meaning disc storage isnt going to get any better than bluray. You can figure that out by reading the heading of that paragraph from your link:

what a crappy review. how is the game an improvement on the first, but gets a lower score? How does a game with a grat single player, never before done 60player multiplayer, and a never before done 8 man coop that requires teamwork get anything but an A. hes mad because it doesnt have single player coop? why are people so f'ing stupid?
It took a while for dvd to overtake vhs. it will take a while for bluray to overtake dvd. bluray is still a niche market because you need a bluray player and a hd tv to need a bluray movie. even dvd all you needed was a dvd player becasue a sd tv was fine. so when hdtv's overtake sdtv's and more people buy bluray players, then bluray will become the next format. downloads on the other hand will require some kind of device and an hd tv (if the stream is hd), plus good internet speed which cant...
my wife is australian and we have plans to move to sydney in a few years. im starting to dread it based on the crappy over priced internet, the economic downturn stalling the fiber optics expansion, the government planning to filter "illegal" content, and the lack of a 18+ rating for games. australia is moving in reverse when it comes to technology. The government is over-regulating and under-developing.
"All he is saying is if Sony charged everyone like $1 dollar they would guarantee that every game had enough servers to cover all games without crashing."
This quote you are saying sony would guarantee to have enough servers to cover all games by charging a fee.

actually i think the stickers are the paint. you have those stickers that are a solid color in a circle or the square ones that fade from the top. you just hold it down and smear it. but its not a paint bucket style where you click on something and it turns it all that color.
let see. 17 million over 2 years is 8.5 mil a year
22 million over 3 years is 7.33 mil a year
lets be generous...24 million over 3 years..8 million a year.
when people start realizing the world is bigger than their living room they will see fast internet is still not as widespread as people think. Digital downloads cant reach everyone in the world like a disc can. plus you have some countries who shape and cap bandwidth. youre never going to get downloads to take over there. im looking at your australia.
hd media is still a long ways from taking off. there are still tons of sd tvs in the world. when hd tvs represent the majority of...
et for the atari is no where close to the level of production and complexity of modern video games. Games today are multimillion dollar projects with dozens to hundreds of people involved around the world. They have to push out these games at break neck speed and sometimes theres too much code to make sure its perfect. Et for atari can be made by a single person with a home computer using flash. Et didnt involve networking and multiplayer, which just ups the complexity of a game.
Socom ...
three letters and a word. dlc. patience.
no kidding. people should go type "xbox live crash" or "xbox live down" into google and see that live has crashed numerous times and has been taken down numerous times for maintenance.

i guess you missed this article. ea, namco, konami, and ubisoft say you dont know what the hell youre talking about.
you wont find a coop experience like resistance 2 or huge battles. although socom is fun and killzone 2 looks promising.
check your accuracy. if its low then you arent aiming right. if its high then they are just doing more damage than you by hitting the head.
if you played the first game you should be able to compare your accuracy from it to this one to see if you are off.
there is nothing wrong with the aim in the game. if you played resistance 1 you should know what your accuracy was because it tracked it. my accuracy from the first to the second actually improved. taking many bullets to kill people is how you build up xp.
one hit carb snipe matches killed the custom fun for resistance 1 leaving only the ranked matches for the pure game. ill be damned if it happens again. what skill is there in one hit kill? it comes down to who gets the drop on who fir...
thats not the first time ive heard 299 being the go price for people on a ps3. And if you can live with waiting that long then go for it. However i can tell you that even now you get your money's worth.
i bet they will still release a bare-bones pack. And you have to know that there will be another bundle before too long. Im hoping for a resistance retribution bundle.
off subject: ratchet and clank is a great game.
let say the blog has 100 or 200 people posting problems. hell lets say 500 people have posted connection problems. What percentage is 500 people of the install base for this game so far? lets be modest and say 100,000 people got the game sometime saturday or sunday. if 500 people complain out of 100,000 thats 1/200th. half of 1%
Houston we have problems.
networks dont work perfectly 100% of the time. even paid services like xbox live that have been around longer than the psn experience crashes and lags. The server where i work goes through periods of problems and no problems. Its just the nature of the beast. This game is far from broken because the online is only a portion of the experience as opposed to something like socom. And as ive said before, this game is unlike anything else consoles have experienced. the whole freaking world is acce...
The entire country of Australia is not capable of a download service. Their internet is slow, expensive, and most have caps on how much you can download a month.
