i think they are taking the 10 year approach for the psp as well. since it came out roughtly 2005, id expect a successor in maybe year 7 of its lifespan. so 2011-2012 expect a psp2. there still plenty of directions the current psp can go. They can do an apps/homebrew store. put out a keyboard. language learning software. finally release a freaking camera and gps in the usa. video streaming on the web browser. internal memory storage. another analog nub. release games on umd and download at th...

if there was another place i could go to get game news and not have to deal with this crap i would. I just want to know about positive news regarding my console of choice. i dont need anymore doom and gloom or comparison pieces.

this is a pretty unusual article for ign. they obviously get more xbox traffic on the site, but they tend to be neutral. this is simply a failed attempt to evaluate cost without considering all the angles by this particular author.

i think what you have uncovered is that the author of this article failed to look at the value of the ps3 from all angles.
If you want to browse the web on a ps3 you go to the internet browser. If you want to browse the internet with a 360...wait...apparently you have to buy a computer to do that or at least a psp.

"less good games".
i recommend saying "fewer good games."
i wasnt aware that the only way to determine whether a game is good or not is its metacritic or gamerankings score. Thanks for clearing that up, because i was concerned that review scores were just opinions and not truth or fact.
Theres little that appeals to you, but you would drop 200 bucks for its bluray capability? So you will spend 200 dollars for a bluray player and youll spend (assuming yo...

the article fails in that it evaluates the total cost of ps3 as either just a bluray player or as just a game console.
add an xbox 360 plus a bluray player and compare that to a ps3 and tell me where the value is.
Its already been proven to be the best bluray player on the market.

actually all these economic woes stem from the Glass-Steagall Act being repelled in Congress in 1999. The Glass-Steagall act was put in place in 1933 to prevent lending and mortgage companies from merging. This was done by a Republican congress and president Bill Clinton. His dream was for all americans to own a home. To acheive this he instructed lending firms to give out home loans to high risk citizens (people who dont pay their bills or cant pay their bills.) Everything was working to pla...

hey look, an "article" that simplifies games down to a few negative sentences and thinks it has a point. You can take anything and simplify it until you end up with some jack@ss comment. get a real job.

its going to go down as the best game you were too stupid to play, right next to shadow of colossus.

it doesnt have to sell millions in the first week to be successful. long term sales are way more important than first week sales.

you can always keep a series alive. but sometimes it has a better effect if you end it. i think this should end god of war and they should start a new mythology series.

i wish i could get in the freaking beta.
how do you even question if the service is doomed. sony has invested loads of time, money, and man power to making it right. its not something you buy, but something that is free for all to use. also they are planning on making money off the advertising and micro transactions. obviously they are going to push home big time. this article didnt need to be written.

consumers are stupid and want to be told what to buy. been saying it for years. its sad humans can be controlled by marketing.

i wasnt aware that sony put all its eggs in the lbp basket. wow sony is going out of business now because this one game didnt sell like it should.

first off theirs awesome levels made by the community out there. clearly this guy has never heard of you tube or the internet and watched some videos or read web pages with lists of great levels.

second you have no business reviewing games if you complain that it takes too long to make a good level. god forbid that creat...

now its sony's fault you have bandwidth caps or your download is slow. yet digital downloads are the future. i think the internet companies and the gaming companies have different ideas of the future. you should be calling your service provider and complaining. you should be blogging about bandwidth caps and how much of a rip-off they are. stop looking like a fool complaining that the firmware update to make your ps3 better is taking up too much of your allocated bandwidth.

zone of the enders
star wars battlefront
why those are not made or in production blows my mind.

there is no such thing as consistency with video game reviews. no magic formula for ratings. some games just get preferential treatment because they have celebrity like status.
my only complaint about the r2 campaign is it was too short.

news of the day:halo has a story
did not know that.
