killzone 2 laid the ground work for the playstation edge development kit that sony has been distributing to developers. although i have heard reports that sony isnt being very prompt with the releasing of this kit. but maybe now that everyone has seen what you can accomplish with the dev kit, games that look like killzone will be the basic and as they get more familiar with developing for the cell, game will blow killzone 2 out of the water.
sony has a long term strategy. They built a machine that you wont top out its potential in 3-4 years. Microsoft went with the pc approach.
