its trendy and consumers are lemmings waiting to be told whats popular and what to buy.
two established consoles are going to need more than one exclusive to move consoles at this stage in the game. its more about the lineups of exclusives. plus at this stage 360 has more consoles in the usa and shooters are more of an american style game. im more interested in how the sequels compete with their predecessors. can gears 2 sell like its launch title who had little competition. and can resistance 2 sell better with its publicity and insomniacs growing reputation for quality.
its the game developers conference. its not about gamers. its closed door sessions on game developing.
the point is the majority of games need to be for the people who spend 250 hours on a game not for someones mom. you can keep the controllers the same and make a few games that either only require one or two buttons to play or if you want to really make money make some games that
are designed for some casual gamer controller you can buy. the point is the gaming industry was created for people who wanted to play games. and
the gaming industry grew because a small portion of the p...
so a universal remote must be too complex for "casual" tv watchers. it has tons of buttons and runs multiple devices. the problem is if you want to watch tv youll figure out how to work the freaking remote. if you really want to play video games youll learn how to work a freaking controller. and its not like a game is required to use every button on a controller. so i think it has nothing to do with the controller.
next thing you know keyboards will have to many keys for casu...
play assault on rfom and then you will understand how to make everyone count. you need defenders and attackers for multiple bases. and you can assign squads which allows you to respawn near your squad mates when you die. and thats just the first rfom. so im sure they are expanding on that.
oblivion or fallout 3
i prefer harddrive installs. remember the long load time EVERYTIME you started up a grand theft auto game on ps2? well its basically like doing that once and not doing it again unless you delete the install. oblivion
has an install on ps3 and it loads better than the 360 version. I remember back when rockstar was complaining about the 360 not having a hard drive as a standard so they couldnt make hard drive loading a required feature to improve gameplay on gta4.
the real comparison is do you have to stop playing because your controller went dead. if the answer is no then you are a winner regardless of console. If you plug in your ps3 controller while you fold or watch a movie it will always have plenty of juice to play for as long as you can.
it looks great. i find nothing generic about it. its no more generic than any other shooter. it has its own unique characteristics with the nectar abilities and the abilities of the rebels to play dead and cause nectar overdose. healing your teammates and cool and 4 player coop is always nice. wish it would come out.
sony and nintendo are japanese. microsoft is american.
This is an excellent move. If only Australia would do the same or let the EU act on their behalf. There's import costs and then there's blatant ripping off. You can't tell me it costs a couple hundred bucks per console to ship to Australia. Games are the same way. Australian games are 100AUD which is about 89USD. an american game is 60usd plus tax. Thats 29 dollars per game to cover taxes and import fees?
and with video/audio streaming via tversity, my 60 is more than plenty. not to mention you can play divx/xvid and mp4 off a dvd. thats divx 4 or larger, no divx 3 play off disk.
if this rumor is true, i can only see them offering it exclusivley to americans because thats the only region where the 360 destroys the ps3. its the bigger is better mentality over here, so they will compete with the elite and the arcade in pricing.
killzone lib is pretty freakin sweet. its a must play on the psp.
ive always been under the impression that guerilla is laying the ground work for developing on the ps3. they are creating the tools and paving the way for others regardless of how fun killzone is.
you are a trip. when people read your quotes they are thinking "WTF".
ZOE 3!!!!
keep your virtua fighter...tekken is better, soul calibur rules all. Sega sure doesnt play nice with the ps3. First they snubbed the ps3 on voice support for ac4 and then snubbed ps3 of online for vf and now spraying lemon juice on it by giving 360 patches for vf. I know sony put them out of the console business, but that was a while ago. Cant we all just get along.
this is obviously just to try to boost console sales in the us. in case you havent noticed the ps3 sells well everywhere except the us. thats all. if the ps3 was on top i bet there wouldnt even be a bundle anywhere. plus you have play tv so stop b!tching.
