I'm concerned about the direction Nintendo will take from this point. There is a certain character and unique take on gaming that Nintendo offers in comparison to Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo attempted to go in the direction those companies do with the Gamecube, and despite being a very good system with some really great games, it wasn't a hit.
Could they make a system with killer specs (or at least matching specs to current/next gen) and beat out Sony and Microsoft?...
That's horrible. Nothing but total respect for him. My thoughts are with his family and friends. It's a very sad day for the video game industry.
...and yet the game is still a lot of fun. Hopefully the August update will address a lot of this.
It's amazing what fresh ideas and some actual marketing will do. The game is great. Hopefully this inspires Nintendo to keep innovating in their games, not just the consoles.
There's no excuse not to have made made a Pokemon Snap game for the Wii U. The console and game were meant for each other.
It makes no sense to not include this in the E3 video. Same with Devil's Third.
The Mario tennis games are fun. I was obviously hoping for more out of the event, but I'll still probably get this game.
I just can't believe it's actually happening. I'm so excited :)
@captainexplosion
Even still, that's only a few days to move consoles.
Splatoon was released on May 28th, so this captures 4 days of sales. Not saying that it will have moved a ton of units, but do remember that this isn't even close to a full month's worth of numbers. 136k copies of Splatoon from the 28th until 31st is an okay amount. Nothing tremendous, but not a flop by any means.
136k in two days? That's actually pretty good.
@CaptainExplosion
So, you forget about characters like Zelda, Sheik, Samus, Wario, Waluigi, Captain Falcon, Rosalina, Marth, Pit, Diddy Kong, etc., but you cite (in your words) "the guy from Tearaway" and "the guy from the new Infamous"
Yeah...I think there's some bias there.
Don't care about the graphics even a little. They're not going to make me enjoy this game any less.
If that dog dies...
I'm 27, and it's fun. The single-player is done well, and I don't find myself missing voice chat. It'd be nice to have the option, but it's not necessary to the game at least.
Having played this game now, it really doesn't need voice chat at all. Would it be nice to have the option? Definitely. But, the game pad shows you everything that's going on, and there are built in communication prompts. Between both, the lack of voice chat doesn't kill this game and really isn't that big of a deal imo
I agree with you 100%, but it will never happen. People have their allegiances to companies already, so if the Wii U sells poorly (and obviously it has), they'll use that opportunity to bash it. Its collection of games is great (and overall the best quality-wise in my own opinion), but that doesn't matter to them. Gaming is becoming less and less about the games and gaming experience and more about brand loyalty. If it weren't the case, more people would experience the great games...
Exactly. I could make a video saying I hardly ever play anything on my PS4, but I wouldn't because I don't expect anyone to care what I do or do not use.
Uhh, so all this is is somebody saying they didn't play their Wii U or 3DS because the games didn't appeal to them while their PS4 ones did? Why is that worthy of being posted here? That's less content and less interesting than many comments usually are.
It's hardly even opinion honestly. Half the time he's trying to make sure people don't think he's bashing Nintendo, and the other half he's saying he just doesn't play it often. Who cares?...
$39.99 for a year of PS Plus works for me
