First off I am as much hyped about Killzone 2 as anyone on this site, but in order to make killzone 2 a real threat to Microsoft it needs to sell really really well. It needs to sell like Halo 3 did and the only way that can happen is if Sony puts some god damn money in advertisement. All hardcore gamers already know what Killzone 2 is all about they need to board other people on this hype train. If killzone 2 sells around 5-6 million only then 3rd party devs will consider PS3 as a viable cho...

Yeah I agree with you, but I think if the battle system is like Crisis Core I will be a happy gamer. By the looks of things it looks like a typical turn based combat, but you just chain your moves and the game plays accordingly :(

Mate, By the time this game comes out in North America, I am guessing we will already have PS4 in our hands let alone xbox720.:|
Who gives a **** what the girl name is, just release some god damn gameplay videos.
Are you an Aussie mate?:P
Well since most of them are retired Australia is in pretty bad shape:P
We need a Warnie like spinner:( & a Gilli like keeper :(
& now its upto Sony to advertise the hell out of it. Sony needs to create the same amount of hype like Microsoft created for Halo 3.
They really need to push the buttons here. All Sony really needs to do is rather than paying for advertisement companies to create advertisements for Killzone 2, just roll the gameplay footage on TV and etc.
On the topic I think Halo Wars won't sell that well just because I don't see an RTS doing that well on a console anyways. GTA4 episode will ...
I finished R2 a few days ago. The singleplayer component is the weakest of all three modes. Coop is absolutely addictive, Competitive is amazing too. But singleplayer has some very obvious flaws. It doesn't feel like R1. Its a totally different game. R1 was more like an arcade game, R2 is like UT3 + COD4 wannabe. Some places are stunning to look at, while others are simply drab. The game really needed a couple of months of polish. The boss battles are simple eye candy. The game plays well, th...
Ok I should have been a bit more specific. I didn't say that technically its bad or anything. Its technically the most advanced game on consoles, no game, & I don't even see Uncharted 2 surpassing it at a technical level. But you can't really compare Crysis running on a monster machine to Killzone 2 running on a console. Calling Killzone 2 graphics great or mind blowing is an understatement. & a console game competing with a high end pc game and while maintaining its own and coming cl...
Technically no, artistically yes.
What I really mean is what I felt from that guy's tone is and again that is my opinion i may be wrong but I have seen his other previews there wasn't a sense of excitement in his voice, like he was trying hard not to praise this game. Like he didn't praise the god damn eye bleeding visuals, nor did he say anything about 7.1 surround sound audio, nothing, simply just explaining Killzone 2 and stating we haven't spent enough time yet. I am guessing they will probably hand it out a 8+ something ...
Is it me or the tone of that preview was like "OMG we are soo screwed, we can't figure out any issues with this game".
What i mean to say is, there wasn't a sense of excitement in that preview, same kind of feel is not found in IGN or other articles.

Come to think of it, i don't think they will release new videos without creating massive hype about it, since God of War 3 and Uncharted 2 can be considered as two big beast of Sony's lineup considering Killzone 2 will be out of the way by the end of feb.
I am guessing that they will release those trailers on EU store. Well i am hoping i am wrong.
Aren't the announcements and VGA trailers already up on PSN?
I may be wrong but I don't remember any big game related announcements ever made on this show. Besides GDC2009 is in Feb/Mar. that is the time when most publishers announces there games.
It will be an interesting battle between Infamous & Prototype. Graphically as of now Infamous looks better technically, like the whole lightening and character models and stuff. But thats not to say Prototype looks any bad.
Secondly in my opinion prototype has different types of powers, while Infamous only has variation of electrical power. Which is a +1 in my books if done correctly.
Lastly the storyline looks pretty awesome in both games, but I think what I like about Infamo...
I think it is like Crisis Core FF VII battle system with some upgrades. By the way RELEASE THE GOD DAMN GAME SE :@
Anyone else noticed its coming out almost the same day as Killzone 2 :)
What did you expect, it wasn't a game show. Microsoft will probably announce a couple of titles most probably MassEffect 2 and SplinterCell Conviction to come out in fall 2009. The confirmed lineup as of now consist of HaloWars, Ninja Blade, and Halo 3 ODST plus a bunch of casual titles. It looks alright add MassEffect 2, Alan Awake and Splinter Cell Conviction to this list and it looks fine better than 2008 lineup.
How about Sony start releasing Qore worldwide instead of just US:@

Yeah I agree but they didn't had to invest in the resource hungry techs like motion capture, high res textures etc. All they had to do was to build a physics based engine and a tool that can create levels, the next most time consuming work was to build levels' artwork. So I am pretty sure LBP development budget was no way near Killzone 2's budget.
