On another note, the industry has really gotten big. 1.7Bn gamers. That's a lot of gaming hours :o
I count a total of six games I'm guaranteed to have by the end of the year. Three exclusives(TLOU,LBP,DC) and three third party(AC,Destiny,GTA).
Six titles is a lot for me considering throughout last generation I only bought around 10 retail games total. (It was tough being a gamer on a kid budget lol)
TLOU has sold just south of 6million copies. The ps3's install base is over 80million. Crunching the numbers tells us that over 90% of ps3 owners have not played this game.
Sony have also came out and said that a third of ps4 owners did not own a ps3. This, plus the early adopters who did not experience TLOU on ps3 should equal millions of potential buyers of TLOUR.

It shouldn't be a "goal" at this point, not after the train wreck that was BF4. It should be a certainty.
It does make sense when you think about it. Analysts have estimated that Sony can manufacture about 1million units a month. And the ps4 is knocking on the door of 8million units sold after 7months. Now take into account the sheer amount of territories Sony has to cater to with that monthly production. Not to mention that the ps4 is selling well in most of those territories.
This is one of those games that has me smiling for no reason. Soooo much content. I'll be playing this game for years to come :)

That first picture looks exactly like the silver slim ps2. I love it.
No words can describe how beautiful that trailer looked running at 1080/60 on a house-sized movie thatre screen. Hands down the best looking game on consoles. A "generational leap"? More like a bottomless chasm. Not even a year out from launch and Naughty Dog already ain't playin no games.(pun sorry lol)
Side note: E3 Experience was amazing. The best way to experience e3. Youtube or other low quality streams do not do these conferences justice.

Since both the ps4 and wii u have been putting up mediocre numbers in Japan, I highly doubt the xbone will make any kind of splash. Although, they have helped their chances by dropping the kinect and the price along with it.

I understand your point though. That gameplay(even in a low-res youtube video) just vaulted The Order into my most anticipated list.
But watchdogs is here and the order doesn't even have a Release date yet. On top of that It's even been floating round that it's going to get delayed.
I'm in the same boat as you. I actually haven't noticed any lag in my month of the ps3 beta, and the ps4 beta is even smoother. I get rock solid gameplay but my visuals seem washed out. Other than that I've nothing but positive things to say about ps now.
I'm on a 10 Mbps up and 1 down wired connection.
I was surprised to see how much lag this guy was getting.
My complaint is that rented games stick to the ps4's dashboard.
And as of now voice commands don't work for the rented games or the app.
We need folders Sony!
It's not half bad in multiplayer either :)
Also I don't get anywhere near a 1 second delay. In fact it's barely noticeable. (wired)
I'm glad there are still high profile devs that honor artistic vision over install base. UC4 could easily sell 10million+ copies if they released on both ps3 and ps4. But that would equal compromises, and that's just not the ND way.
